Production I.G. is working with CLAMP on Blood-C, "a new chapter of the world-famous Blood: The Last Vampire saga started in 2000"
Like the former chapters of the saga, BLOOD-C will feature a heroine called Saya, her full name being Saya Kisaragi.
The Blood-C anime series will air July 7th, 2011, and a 2012 theatrical movie is planned.

Hum really didn't imagine CLAMP doing an anime of this series like this but i hope it turns out to be good, and hope its better than Blood+ in some ways.
Which cameo chars are they putting on this one i wonder.

Didn't see a topic for this yet. If you've watched "Blood the Last Vampire" and "Blood+", this is the newest series in the Blood universe called "Blood-C". It's produced in a collaboration between Studio Production I.G. (who did Blood+) who will be producing the animation and CLAMP who has provided the story and character designs.

The first episode was recently aired in Japan, and will finish with I believe a total of twelve episodes and a movie planned for 2012. A manga serialization is simultaneously being ran alongside the series and was started not too long ago.
Looks promising. Should have all the action and feel that Blood+ had, with CLAMP's unique dark twist they give their works like XXXHolic and X.

At first, I only saw the anime, but then I started reading the manga, and got into the cannon and lore.
I also should suggest Blood+A, it too is really great.

Blood-C is a little to lighthearted and had no feel of darkness until the last 5 minutes. I will finish watching it but it will probably not be as good as Blood+ was.Remember what happened to Tsubasa Chronicle and xxxHolic? and Being light-hearted at first doesn't mean it will stay light-hearted forever.
and this is obviously a different Blood, made by CLAMP (Blood C is a manga adaptation of the same name). Even the heroine have different names.
Blood C was Made by CLAMP. It's like how Code Geass anime is very different with Code Geass the manga.
food for thought

and I got another Mizuki Nana anime, not complaining much there.

true both of them were so light-hearted at first and when it was near the end it had an epic twist in the characters, so i guess will expect an epic twist in blood-c as well

i dont know mabye im comparing it to Blood + to much but it still seems to unrealistic to me. I just don't think clamp was the best choice.

Problem is CLAMP MADE Blood-C, it's creation doesn't have anything to do with the original story of Blood+, except for the same theme. CLAMP wasn't chosen, they decided to make one.
Then to be fair, which studio "is better" at making their own original story, and why CLAMP is not the best choice?
and did you notice that Blood: The Last Vampire and Blood+ is not in the same universe. Blood+ is a loose adaptation, from the original Blood: The Last Vampire.

CLAMP's adaptation of Saya's adventure in the Blood universe will be compared to Blood + just as quickly as FMA Brotherhood was to the original. and when comparing CLAMP's adaptation to Blood + or even Blood: The Last Vampire it does not have some of the same quality's that made me enjoy its predecessors. Until they can show me something just as good or better i will not be happy with it.

You still haven't answered my question.
and FMA of course got compared because it's still the same series, one was prematurely ended, one was a complete adaptation
Elaborate quality
It's clear that you're biased by preference and you're clearly ignoring CLAMP's history of story-making.
Honestly trying to compare Blood+ and Blood-C is like comparing an Apple with a Pear. The insides looks the same but it's an entirely different fruit.

Are you saying that i should throw out all the opinions of Blood shows that i have seen? Why? Fan's of Blood: The Last Vampire liked Blood + because it had the same kind of action and art. The story telling was an added plus. With CLAMP's Blood C I expect all three of these points at least.
Don't think that i dislike ClAMP. i love some of their shows especially because of the story telling however CLAMP's art is very distinctive and I don't think it fits with the previous blood show's and their more realistic feel.
To answer your question i think that Bones would be a better studio. The show i specifically point to is Darker than Black. Darker than Black has superb story telling and the art is very realistic.
Over all Blood + and Blood C should not be like comparing apples to pears. it should be more like comparing a Granny Smith apple to a Red Delicious apple. If Blood C does end up being more like a pear to an apple then me and many others will be sorely disappointed.

And what's wrong if it's different?
Now you're like one of those parents that's keeps on boasting about their first child achievements and keeps on getting disappointed because your 2nd/3rd child is totally different, even though it's obvious that each child has it's own merits.
I'm just asking you to treat it as a self-standing anime not related to any of the original titles, but you keep on trying to push the original blood into the discussion.
