[Anime] Kill la Kill

The final fight reminded me of DBZ: Battle of Gods.
I'll post my full review up on the series later.

So it ends...with unanswered questions, plot points that went nowhere, and
Overused gags, at times out of place comedy, sleepwalk difficulty gives no feeling of accomplishment(when you lose in this anime, you're OK in an episode or two and nothing of value is lost) side characters that could've been way more fleshed out, a plot that seemed like it knows where it was going (no onsen/beach episodes, good form on that move, Trigger) fight scenes were OK albeit sometimes it looks like a kid smashing his toys together, 'Don't lose your way' is so overused it loses it's magic. Kill la Kill seems like a bunch of missed opportunities.
I know Trigger's intentions were good, but if feels like they were just cashing a check this time. It barely resonated with me. I look forward to their next work though because I know this team can do something amazing.

And yes you are definitely thinking too much. This kind of anime doesn't try to be logical, nor does it try to be serious or rather take it self serious.
It tries to entertain in a very over-the-top way with the intention that the audience wouldn't put too much thought into it. It doesn't try to sell itself as an intellectual show, it is just meant to be pure FUN.
And I think in that regard Trigger did very well.
Not fantastically by all means, but still very well.
Gurren Lagann was the same kind of show, so unless you had major problems with that one as well (in which case this whole genre just might not suit your taste) it's definitely you putting too much thought into it.

So, it's only logical when it wants to be? Like blood loss applying to Ryuko at the beginning of the series yet she was invincible anyway? How about when she turned into a life fiber monster? Sorry, I can't let that slide. The way this anime is so revered just comes to show you how much crap you can get away with and still be considered 'good'.
-Once again...Sanageyama's rivalry went nowhere. I don't care if Nui interrupted the match, something like that happening early on shouldn't be unceremoniously dropped.
-This sounds like a fanwank to me...where does it say that life fibers possessed her? How come this wasn't the case for Ryuko? When did the life fibers say 'we want to take over the world'? They're just parasites...they live off blood, there's no other motive if I recall.
-Yep we have no idea why Ryuko went to Honnouji first...
-Rubber? When does it exclusively state that? Now that you bring it up, we know barely little about Bakuzan as well yet another dropped plot point.
-Plot point that went nowhere...Why was Tsumugu collecting life fibers at first?
I loved Gurren Lagann and I didn't have to turn my brain off to enjoy that. Nor do I remember plot points that went nowhere. The asspulls in that can be explained; spiral power = the limitless indomitable human spirit. Even still, people died.

I really fail to see where your problem with this anime exactly is.
We could argue for the next 20 pages about all of them
This is really not an anime where you should try to use your brain on. Kill La Kill especially thrives a lot on its randomness factor, as well as the theme of "incomprehensible" throughout the latter portion of the series.
Especially when you state that you enjoyed Gurren Lagann but not Kill La Kill, when in essence both use the same kind of formula, with KLK just having more randomness and being a bit more all over the place.
Granted, overall TTGL is still the superior anime, but I wouldn't exactly call KLK a disappointment either. It was very enjoyable from start to finish and that's about it, and I appreciate this anime for being able to do that.

I do acknowledge that there is a place for mindless fun only when substantial effort is put in to make it reasonable enough. It's silly trying to influence a person's taste or telling them how to enjoy recreation.

Ryuko's speech at the end that contained that meant to me 'we have no idea why we're doing this anymore' which is why I facepalm at her 'inspiring' speeches talking about being incomprehensible. The writing probably went that same direction as well. Again, what purpose did she have to find her father's killer? What would it accomplish? Two wrongs don't make a right.
Like WideEyed said, revering an anime like this encourages to look past possible plot holes and plot points that are dropped into a void.

My suspense of belief can go so far to where it's past the point where it's 'brain off, awesome on'. Though I liked Gurren Lagann I still have a limit to where I go 'well, this is stupid'. Like Jack said above, KLK is more random in that sense.
My whole beef with these dropped plot points is that in order to keep the 'fast paced' nature of the show, they had to compromise so much. Which is why I said Kill la Kill is full of wasted potential.

Some say that Senketsu's death was.... Rushed~ For me it was a fair death, because Senketsu is the one that takes all the damage than Ryuko at the final battle with Ragyo. Like Senketsu said... Shinra Kouketsu was too much and too powerful for him to handle.

This was a pretty fun show to watch despite being pretty average. Unlike its predecessors, I felt like KLK's over-the-top-ness was its only redeeming quality.
My only real disappointment though is that we never hear Junketsu talk despite being a "rival" to Senketsu.

I rate this anime a 8/10 because it was a pretty cool anime, but I wish it would have been a bit longer and a bit more developed. This anime has a lot more potential and I believe that the studio didn't use it's full potential like Gurren Lagann. Overall it was pretty decent and kept me from sitting still.
I hope the next anime they will produce will be more epic and packed with more drama than before.

I think pretty much everything that went on during the questionnaire storm back then was addressed by Demo D+

I think that the poor animation quality in some cases was meant to be for comedy purposes. What if the crappy half-way part of season one was a parody of how Shounen manga tends to drag on with senseless fighting? I'm lead to believe it's a little bit of both.
