"Shakespearean" what's that? xD Seriously though, I guess that would be the better phrasing, but I've only ever read the required pieces of his work that the education system mandates me to read and only the bare minimum, I know that the advanced placement English classes read more of his stuff, but not me.

At this point... I am not sure what could happen, normally, after executing this betrayal Satsuki should now be the only villain(I am using this term loosely) left so she could have a final battle with Ryuuko, but there's still a lot of time and people left with issues unresolved.

It's quite likely that Ragyo is more or less alive. She appears in the preview alive(assuming this isn't some sort of flashback or something misleading like that) and killing Ragyo this abruptly leaves nobody, besides some sort of last minute BS cover, to lead COVERS for the grand finale.

I literally shouted "Fuck, what?" after watching the episode on a public library. 6 in the morning. While some elders are reading the bible.

I mean, it was kinda expected to happen, but not that way.

the whole thing with Life Fibers making humans evolve is a little wtf. And that ending to ep 17 was crazy. I feel kind of stupid because I didn't really see it coming (or was kind of unsure), so it was like "holy shit"

Ryuko is Ragyo's kid who apparently died when she was fused with Life Fibers from birth. So that means Ryuko and Satsuki are sisters (or at least half), which means the father in Satsuki's flashback is probably a younger Isshin. If that's the case then we have a motive for his murder; rebelling against Ragyo and making Kamuis for his daughters.

I should've seen that coming but didn't. Wow, just wow.

Anyone notice that the recent episodes have been more Satsuki-centric than usual? Is Trigger making her the protagonist for the second half? They're revealing more of her past, we've been shown that wearing a Kamui takes a toll on her body (a 'weak' side of her we've never seen before), and the relationship she has with her mother. Now I can say I'm liking her character a bit more...and I never really cared for her before now.

OK, whats with these speculations that people jokingly make being accurate now? First Ragyo molesting Satsuki, then Ryuko and Ragyo being one with life fibers, then Satsuki turning on her mother showing no hints of protest, now Satsuki and Ryuko being half-sisters.

The next episode the Four Devas are gonna be the stars, boy am I looking forward to that. I'm betting money that when we find Satsuki, she's gonna be mindbroken by her Mother.

[color=#006FFF]The only thing I'm not too sure on is the situation of Souichirou being Isshin or not. If he is, he aged quite a bit over the years--a bit more than I would think given his rather young/middle age appearance as Souichirou. Maybe he did take up the fake name of "Matoi Isshin". Or not. I find it hard to believe that they're the same person just as much as I find it hard to believe that they're not.

Satsuki was the firstborn of Ragyou and Souichirou and when they see the testing doesn't work on Satsuki, they turn to the second child that Ragyou was pregnant with at the time of her testing, so I'm not too sure on where the "half sister" allegation is coming from unless Ragyou had an affair while Satsuki was a baby. Part of me thinks that Souichirou was part of the Nudist Beach faction acting as an inside-man and Isshin ended up becoming his "partner in crime", so to speak, and helped him make Senketsu (possibly after finding a baby--who happened to be Ryuko--to use as a host to wear it).

I find it hard to believe that Souichirou--or anyone for that matter-- would assume that Ryuko, as a nameless baby after being tossed out to wherever, would have survived after being discarded like that so I can't imagine him saying "I'm going to make Junketsu for Satsuki, and Senketsu for Ryuko" when he thinks Ryuko is dead.

But really, I have little idea as to what the case could be. Maybe Souichirou somehow snuck under Ragyou's radar and went into hiding, taking up the name Matoi Isshin and made the scissor blades and Senketsu. That sounds like it would be the likely scenario but how would Ragyou not have wondered "Hey, where's my stupid husband been for the past few years?" Maybe she tossed him off a cliff and he survived? I don't know.

Then there's the matter of Ryuko having a heart infused with Life Fibers. This explains why she's been able to do a ton of the crazy things she's done (e.g. changing forms with a single thought)l sync with Senketsu so well (most of the time), and break out of Ragyou's mind control. Something else that I've always wondered in the back of my head though is something that might just be nothing but why does Tsumugu share the same hair coloration as Ryuko? This could easily be nothing and just shared character designs, but I'm curious if there's some sort of relation there at all.

I hope we get at least some of these answers in the next episode since it's going to be a pain just waiting for that one to come out.

[color=#006FFF]Also, I suspect that because Satsuki has lost Bakuzan, she will wield the second half of the scissor blade alongside Ryuko in the final battle and they'll end up doing a team attack by combining them and using them to successfully decapitate Ragyou, if not at least cut her in half. And it will be glorious.

[color=#006FFF]This would essentially make Isshin like the Iori (sewing club captain) to Ragyou which I can see being the case. He obviously does know how to create clothing, so it's not too far fetched.

I myself wondered this. When Tsumugu first appeared, I thought he was her brother or something.

Ryuuko is Satsuki's full sister. Not half.
Isshin is her adoptive father, after they cast the so called (dead) body away, he must have found her.With Ragyo being..well..Ragyo, why would she cheat on Sochiro.
Not to say that, its not possible that Ragyo didnt know about Isshin, or couldnt have an affair with him, since he worked under them. It just fits the story a bit better.
@whoever said hurr duur Isshin is Sochiro, hes dead, And he was dead before Isshin.
