Wow, I almost forgot about this manga.
In truth i dropped it after the 7th chapter...(I got Impatient with story development)..
So for those who are still reading it, is it worth picking back up on the storyline?!

It depends. Is it your kind of story?
Two kids decide to make manga. They see some success, get thrown for a few loops, have to work hard, etc.
It's a good story, but I can understand why some people wouldn't want to read it. It's not an action series and is very realistic.

To tell the truth I prefer the "Slice of life" Anime/Manga over the "Action" type Anime/Manga. From your description i think i should pick back up on this manga!

its a very wordy manga so far. I'm trying to lurk through this fast but im still stuck in the 50 something chapter. All I have to say is that Miura-san is a shitty editor who doesn't know what to do and should really learn a thing or two from the other editors before doing fucking up Ashirogi's career

I think this manga could very well have the best expressions of all time.
