[Anime] Fate/Stay Night Remake By Ufotable

I certainly don't remember much of the fight moves existing in VN but hell this is the kind of deviations I approve of.

Ignoring the plot and some characters, this is without a doubt watchable.

Saber casual clothes are nice. Saber smiles more than I remember in the VN. Illya monologue was okay, this isn't Heaven's Feel but I can see why Ufotable want to establish that part of her for the upcoming movie.

Not only for that, but mainly because ufotable needs to establish at least a bit of characterization for her to compensate for the missing Fate route.
I think that's the main reason why we get these additional scenes that weren't in the original UBW. Since they can't expect every viewer to go play the Fate route or watch the 2006 anime, they need to adjust their script so that everything remains cohesive even without the Fate route. It also serves as a nice way to change POVs once in a while, a bit like how Fate/Zero handled that, but without revealing any relevant information until the MCs find out for themselves.

I'm most curious about how they plan to handle Saber's non-existent closure in this route. Also did the VN actually reveal the blonde person's identity in a meaningful way in the UBW route? I can't really remember.

For the most part all of them exist.

Hrunting : Hound of the Red Plains
Strike Air : Hammer of the Wind King
Caladbolg II : Fake Helix Sword

What was deviated from the show though was how Strike Air was used and the entire use Caladbolg II.
It's been a while since I played the VN but he only used Caladbolg II vs


But in this he basically spammed Hrunting. Also, I'm a little confused by how Saber


Strike Air is a C-rank Noble Phantasm, and Berserker's rejects anything that's not GREATER than A-Rank.


Not that I'm complaining at all, this is still easily the best produced anime I've seen in production value since Redline and that's pretty bias from me since that was entirely hand-drawn.

Anyways, Episode 4
I was expecting to see even the smallest amount of quality loss in the production values. Guess it's not happening with Ufotable doing this. Another great episode, some detours here and there, but this is definitely catered to those who watched F/Z. But to the readers of the VN, you can smile a bit at how well developed the characters are becoming, and those winter attires.

I worded it a bit poorly with my bad formatting so that may have led to that confusion.

Edit: I just watched it again, I'm fucking stupid because that's exactly what happened.

... Suddenly I really want to watch F/SN in movie style. While the other 2 routes are more entertaining than Fate route, it was also the most innocent and happy one out of them all. A summer dream seems to describe it perfectly.

I think a movie or OVA type would be the most likely. Another 24 episodes series would just be redundant unless it happens in 8 years.

Meanwhile Archer is second tsundere in the UBW route.

Eh, depends on your definition I guess. As a person she died happy with the troubles plaguing her since she became a King finally resolved, and she no longer once to erase her very existence in an attempt of self-sacrifice that seems shittier than Archer's. That's a better death than most people would have, for sure.
