Gakuen Mokushiroku: High-school of the Dead //Zombies!

Lol: shoot, shoot, shoot, and shoot! Kill them all! - Kohta sucks balls at singing.
Good action, but The Matrix overmuch? When the bullet passed Saeko's boobs, I was like O_O. And Komuro sucks with guns, that's for sure, though handling the sniper rifle takes skill.
ED was okay, not great, not bad. Still waiting on better songs.

From this episode I learned that boobs are very good dodger especially for Saeko. And for Takashi, he's not that bad with guns, he just can't concentrate enough with the boobs in front of him that are boing and boing all the way.

The Matrix of the Dead, anyone?
That was pretty fun action episode and I liked how they pushed the group in the corner - the good guys don't always win, even in anime. Of course, there was an obligatory Deus ex machina rescue, but considering this is a zombie apocalypse story, that was to be expected.
I just loved Saeko's and Takashi's attempt at deception of zombies...only for it to backfire in their face. I almost gleefully shouted DESPAIR at the moment he was banging that shotgun on the rail and zombies mostly ignoring him. And it gets us an episode one on one with Saeko...so all's well that ends well, isn't it? Bonus points, either way.
This is turning to be quite enjoyable show, especially since it was a considerable time since I got fired up about watching something. Episode 9. NOW.

I think my suspension of disbelief for this episode hit an all time high. The Matrix moves aside, all the survivors could've just climbed over the friggin fence, and in fact at the end of the episode they did. And a humvee being stopped by mere wires strapped to the wall? Yea right. Either way, I'm thinking we're going to get an original ending as Komuro's and Saeko's escapade didn't happen until after they escaped the Takagi household, but it's switched over to the next episode.

Episode 9 was amazing! The amount of action and 'action' was staggering, and as always, the production values were over-the-top with well-played voice acting during Saeko's story coupled with the strong emotion of Takashi's expressions.
Spectacular IMO.

Episode 9, ever since the preview I've been waiting for it. Oh god Saeko screen time <3
So glad Mad House decided to switch events around, and even better they had Takashi and Saeko kiss?! I CAN FORGIVE MAD HOUSE FOR THE INEVITABLE BAD ENDING NOW. (I don't think they kissed in the manga though right? Maybe I'm remembering wrong.
Anyway's great episode but my only complaint is this bit..
What the hell? I was getting into the action and then out of know where she announces that she's wet? Wait this HSOTD, I should expect nothing less!

well, you're not wrong.only in the anime they kissed(i checked the manga again after watching it).they only show saeko's correcting her skirt in the manga.
and yes,an anime seiyuu+words 「濡れるッï¼ã€(wet!)=EPIC!
and at the end komuro said "obviously,i did this in order to survive.".
damn smooth operator.LOL!

I liked this Episode. I thought the series was stagnating a bit since Episode 6, so it's nice to see it's back in full force. I haven't read the manga, but I know the general story, so I do hope there's a second season.
Saeko was... amazing in this episode. I wanted to make a SAEKO RAEP FAIC video, but couldn't even decide which frame to use.

I really enjoyed episode 9. I always loved the chemistry between Saeko and Komuro, and when I knew that the two were basically going to be alone for a whole episode, I knew it was going to be good. Saeko was very sexy in this episode, (with her see-through shirt, tank top, fighting style, and that attitude of hers). I also giggled when Komuro blushed around her.

My review-thingy is at the link in my sig (because I'd only end up rewording it here), but to summarise, they turned what looked like a horrible episode from the preview into grass-roots HSotD fare. Well paced and hugely entertaining, concluding their relationship before the probable drama of the next episode. I've got to say, though, that episode ten doesn't look altogether promising. Something about introducing another man to the mix doesn't sit right in the context of the story, but I didn't expect much of this episode beforehand, so I guess it could yet be interesting.

Loved episode 9, it's great to see some action going on with Saeko and learn about her past. Seeing a romantic development between Saeko and Himuro was great too. Though, hahahaa.... She gets wet by killing zombies xD

I too really enjoyed episode 9 - learning about Saeko's violent past, Kurimo accepting her the way she is and her finding a new sword at the Temple - plus those 2 sharing a kiss - [ I think ] - it just seems to me that they would make a great couple, and out of all the female leads, she seems to have the most stable personality, even though she gets off on killing zombies :)
Can't wait until episode 10 next week!

Okay, this episode just added to my confusion abit. ep9:
Spoiler:
My thoughts exactly I just couldn't put it into words without making it a larger wall of text than yours. That kinda pisses me off especially since in Kiss x sis there is an insanely sexualized make out scene yet they'll censor some of the panty shots while in HOTD they will show shitloads of panty shots yet censor the kissing which I find kind of weird but maybe there is some hidden formula they are playing on that we have not picked up on hopefully this doesn't happen through the rest of the series.

I'm fearing for the worst now. After this episode, what last bit of interest for this show went crashing down. I mean I don't really hate the series but I lost all my excitement after watching the first 5 episodes. It just made me feel like reading the manga instead where all the characters are in Inazuma's artstyle. I still don't hate the series but it just makes me want to just read the manga instead. Also for me the love interest with Saeko and Komuro just seems unnecessary and for the most part things are starting to feel silly for some reason. I can't explain it but I have this feeling that the anime loses its serious atmosphere and has fallen into everyday anime logic. That probably doesn't sound like it makes much sense, but I just get this feeling of discomfort for some reason. It's like the manga was subtle with the action sequences and with the ecchi comedy when it came to lighten the mood. The anime though seems to not have that same subtlety. I know it might not sound right as it the anime does seem to follow the manga quite well but I just have this feeling. I can't seem to describe it very well, has anyone else have the same feeling I get when watching this?
