Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica

It has been a while since we last saw an original anime title being produced, without adapting light and visual novels nor manga. Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica is going to be one such title, and it is scheduled to be screened in 3 days time, as part of the Winter 2010/2011 line-up.

Although its premise may not be very original, *cough* magical girls *cough*, the cute characters should provide some eye-candy, even if not much ecchi fanservice is involved. At this point in time, I am unable to find sufficient information concerning Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica's storyline. Hopefully, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica will rise up to the occasion and become another popular title, just like the other Mahou Shoujos which precedes it.

By the way, did I mention that Claris will be performing the opening theme? I have come to like Clare and Alice (therefore Claris) after listening to "Irony" from Ore no Imouto.

On that note, I don't think we have ever seen the actual singers of Claris, have we? They have only appeared as anime characters thus far.

Reads the title "Mahou Shoujo" I am interested, I don't care anymore, I am watching this no matter what.

Yo, first episode left a good impression on me. Great visuals, Wonderful music cues, and story that can be built on. Also UNLIMITED MUSKET WORKS!!

I must say that I was absolutely blown away by the first episode.

Saw episode 1. So Shinbo's limiters are off? This should be entertaining for the visuals if nothing else like The SoulTaker.

Really enjoyed the first episode, for me I haven't seen any Magical Girl anime so to me this quite fresh and new, not sure how it is for other people though.

Talk about misleading; cute moe-style characters and designs, magical girl premise- I was really not expecting anything much from this at all.

But the first episode turned out to be some levels of incredible. The surreal witch realm particularly, with spectacular visuals and fantastic music.

Great start. Here's to hoping that it doesn't end up falling flat on its face.

On another note, what the fucking hell with the school. Does everybody there shit diamonds or something?

I am pleased with the results after a vividly colorful episode 1.

That was very cool. I didn't hear anything about this other than it was recommended. I thought it was going to be a stereotypical mahou shoujo but it definitely made a u-turn on me right at the start. The animation style was good and fun and the music was also a nice fit.

I'm totally going to watch more of this.

Seriously, it's like SZS OP hit this anime like a freight train. I'm definitely watching the rest of this.
