And there has to be something more to the story other than just "Save the world from entropy." There's still something missing, although I'm not sure what it is.

So, mainly Homura and Madoka next week...

Homura and Madoka are left with the task of the great witch gathering and I expect it would be like how that dream was in the first episode.

I know. I'm quite saddened by the fact that Kyouko is dead, but I kind of had a feeling from the start that it would end up being Madoka and Homura in the end. I'm guessing that Homura will try to fight off the ultra witch by herself and Madoka will step in and finally become a puella magi, but hopefully not. Who knows what kind of monster can emerge when Kyubey's people get her energy for themselves?

In case you didn't notice, Kyoko's Gem was pretty corrupted, possibly from restoring heat into Sayaka's body or maybe it was getting there before then. Anyway, the point is that it is doubtful that Kyoko had the magic needed to defeat Witch-Sayaka. If she managed to defeat her, she was likely to turn into a witch herself.


Episode 9:

Terrific, there's a whole species of "Kyubey". And the way to restore the universe's energy is not with hot-bloodedness/Spiral energy, but instead by destroying the hopes and dreams of adolescent girls and throwing them in the pits of misery. Awesome. It's like a large-scale case of Uta-Kata (props if you watched it).

The InQBator supposedly doesn't really know anything about magic, but explains that he is gathering energy from the emotions of teenage girls... That part is believable. I know it's a fictional show, but it annoys me a little when they try to explain stuff using real science. "Entropy energy loss"...? IRL that's completely false as energy can't be lost, only converted. Unless this was intentional done to show that QB is lying. While QB might not be able to feel emotions, that doesn't mean he can't be manipulative and lie. /short_rant

I recall in an earlier episode hearing that you don't always get a Grief Seed after defeating a witch.

My interpretation:
It's personal.

The thing about Kyouko and Sayaka, is that they're both peas in the same pod. What Sayaka is what Kyouko was before she got cynical; a person who made a selfless wish, getting hurt but also a romantic with moral ideals. For that, Kyouko put high hopes on Sayaka. When those expectations weren't met, She realised that there's no longer any point as sooner or later she's gonna end the same way as well. At the very least, she wanted put an end to it, for both of them.

I'm not sure why I'm still watching this show, at this point. Probably because I'm stubborn and its almost over.

Ep 9:

I'm going to give Kyubey the benefit of a doubt, and assume that in this 'verse, there is some sort of hole in the fabric of reality and we're leaking energy into the void, or someshit.

Assuming that he really IS harvesting Grief Seeds specifically because they can be converted into loads of free energy, I'm gonna have to return to an old point and say this:

Madoka. Shut the fuck up plox ty.

FFS, young lady. Your friends signed the Devil's bargain, got their wish, and are currently paying for it. Hells, its not even as bad as it usually is. At least they be dyin' to allow the Universe (You know, that really really stupidly big place we all inhabit?) to continue existing, as opposed to "We just like torturing middle-school girls. The tapes sell well."

Tho', if Kyubey is simply being a bastard and making this shit up as he goes along, then I'm going to have to revise my opinion and eat his corpse myself.

Hmm. I wonder what Kyubey tastes like?

I really need to catch up on said series.

After reading through all the posts, I believe Madoka will eventually become a Mahou Shoujo. Is there any limitations on the wish that one can make upon forming a contract with Kyubey? If not, perhaps Madoka can turn back time or

Nonetheless, I expect an interesting twist to the ending of this particular anime title. Does anyone else feel the same way?

One thing that I just thought up about MAdoka

-Madoka is Actually Homura, who made a wish to travel back in time. That explains why QB wasn't sure that He and Homura made a contract.

Making a contract is basically "game-over" route, if it's not balanced with a wish of that kind of level.

My previous thoughts that MAdoka could just wish this whole thing never happened, it loop-holed by the fact of The contract itself.

Your thoughts on that do seem possible Kaimax, but I have another thought on the relation between Homura and Madoka. (other than the one I mentioned before)

Homura could possibly be a product of Madoka's wish?? Perhaps Madoka wished for someone/something to change the past, and the wish made Homura?? Kind of a stretch huh, I am just thinking up random thoughts.

i know i'm late but i been catching up right and now and saw episode 8 right now...my thoughts thus far.

-SAYAKA!!!! ;___; WHY....they totally made me feel bad the whole fucking way when i was trying not to feel bad when she would actually die.Especially the scene when she was on the train with those two dirt bags it totally got to me and broke my heart.

-Also i was surprised when Akemi-chan broke down and cried in front of Madoka trying to prevent her wish from almost being fulfilled. Her composure when it comes to Madoka was more personal to her heart than i had originally thought.It's also interesting how Akemi just seems to know everything around kyubee (er i prefer incubator at this point,more accurate to say)i really do question her knowledge and her motives more than anything.

-Incubator ah so intriging...it's interesting how he can just lie to Madoka's face like that telling her that she has such an unbelievable powers and whatnot. I really want to know what incubator is planning.

-I'm rather mad at Akemi as well in a sense i still get the feeling the show will get ten times as better when Madoka actually becomes a magical girl.haha also the show has really got me going. It's certainly thought provoking and has me going.

QB never lied, he just never thought there was never the need to explain all of it all at once. And QB isn't the one that is pulling the shots and plans. Like I said QB is not evil, he's just doing what his masters told him to do, we only think he's evil if we use human standards to judge him, but for QB who doesn't have any emotion he and his race never had the word evil in their dictionary.

like I said earlier, MAdoka turning into a Mahou shooujo is just the same as getting a "Bad End" cause she can't revert back to her normal self. that's why there's even a possibility that she wouldn't change at all. A contract with QB needs to be very balanced with a "high level" wish so that the wish itself would overshadow the fact that she turns into a mahou shoujou


-One other outcomes that I thought is, She will make a contract to help Homura fight off the Walpurgis Night, But that will make any of her wish "shallow" and she's then stuck with it for a life, so basically "turning into a mahou shoujo is GAME OVER"

There's 3 episodes left, and this doesn't seem like the type of series they would ruin by making a second season. A spin-off? Maybe. But not a direct continuation.

-QB has never lied from episode 1. Although that doesn't mean he wouldn't lie, but the fact is he doesn't need to lie to people.

-Walpurgis is an event, there's no way to "incubate it". It's just a time where all Witches gather. Just like some sort of Halloween, an event that only happens once a year or something.

-Once again, Walpurgis Night is an event so it can't "Eat". and QB cannot die, because he has many replacements.
