If you're still lucky enough to find/have your original sign up email, it has your log in name in it. I actually had the same problem for the longest time; kept thinking the my username was my log in name for the longest time. Eventually pulled up the emails from them and found it.

As for the Effie cover, no idea when you guys tried to order, but the preorder window is closed now. D:

You know, all you had to do was just just use Yokkatta. Give them a link of the website, say you want to order the ONLY dakimakura cover on the site. Their browers can display the text correctly.

If money is of no concern, you may want to know that the one you linked is a bootleg. There's no way you'll be able to tell the quality of it until you get it, and even if the quality is decent, you won't be supporting the original artist (if that matters to you.) None of us will tell you what's right concerning bootlegs, but generally we choose not to buy them for our own reasons.

As far as that actual cover goes, I'd highly recommend it; I own the "official" version myself and it's a really great cover. It currently isn't available through the circle, but they may have some in stock within the next few months, since the preorder closed fairly recently. Or it might pop up on YJA eventually, but there's no guarantee and it's likely to be more than what you'd pay for it from the circle directly.

No worries, man. Hope I didn't come off as too much of a dick. I just figure that from personal experience, I'd rather know if something is legit or not before I buy it, rather than finding out later.

Though I guess paying ~$40-50 for a bootleg, even if it turns out to be of poor quality isn't the end of the world. My harshest experience was a bootleg of Sayori's Miku that I purchased on YJA (yay, proxy fees!) for 11k. Not only was it peach skin (which is the cheapest material), but in this case there wasn't a decent sample image available, so this particular bootlegger really butchered the beautiful artwork of Sayori.

I think we all fall for the bootlegs at the beginning. I didn't mind that at first, I mean they can be pretty cheap. It's just that after you see a real dakimakura from a real circle your jaw just drops. What you thought was good turns out to be absolutely garbage.

Researching helps, but in my case it was both being lazy and ignorant.

I was lucky in that I managed to find my way to circle covers in the beginning, but it was still pretty easy to buy a bootleg unknowingly. YJA was pretty difficult to navigate when I first started, and at the time I didn't really know what to look for when it came to bootlegs. Now I think I'm fairly good at spotting them on YJA, but it was something I learned with them and experience, just like all other related dakimakura skills.

Yeah, I paid about $40 per daki when I got my 3, and the pillow I got with them was horrible. (It folds in the middle because of the material)

Ouch, that must have set you back quite a bit... I couldn't imagine paying 11 grand for a daki... or anything other than a lifelong investment, at that...

All YJA purchases are in yen, so 11,000 yen. :p That's like $160 after proxy fees and such. Even if it isn't $11,0000, it's still a fairly high price to pay for a bootleg.

But yeah, that is still pretty darn expensive even for a bootleg. ~_~

I was right there on that same boat. I didn't really care about bootleg covers so long as I could get the one that I wanted, but like you said, the difference in quality is astounding! I still think that covers are a tad but too pricey for what they are, but I think that most of it comes from special order fees, shipping and handling fees.

Can't bring myself to get bootlegs,regardless how well made they are, just doesn't feel the same.

Anyhoo, got myself some new stuff.

Hmmm, this one is made of one of the older 2WT , Sunpaque. Dunno why circles no longer use this material. Feels a lot better then A and Js.
