Unfortunately, it is. Here's some general rules of thumbs concerning bootlegs:

- If the site is in English, there's a very high chance it's a bootleg. An exception to this would be a Japanese business that runs an English store, like Mandarake or AmiAmi.
- If the material is peach skin, it's almost guaranteed to be a bootleg (Big Love is the only circle I know of that uses peach skin.)

The official Dark Magician Girl cover isn't really available anywhere now; I didn't spot it on any secondhand retailers and the circle responsible for it (Evening Call) doesn't have any in stock right now. It's possible that they may get some in stock in the next month or two, or that it pops up on Mandarake or Yahoo Japanese Auctions. I'll keep an eye out for it, and if it does I'd be more than happy to let you know, but it's not a guarantee that it will happen.

Since it might be awhile, you could try your luck with a bootleg if you wanted to, but just be aware going in that the quality might be questionable.

I won't lie, it's quite the expensive hobby, but there is something magical, and I suppose a little materialistic too, about owning a cover that appeals to you, that simply seeing/saving at an image of cannot fulfill.

Movic is releasing two To Love-Ru dakimakura in October; Momo and Yami. Anyone have any experience with Movic? They're doing smooth kit so I imagine they're going to be similar to cospa quality.

I put in an order for Momo. She's a bit plan, but she looks very cute so I couldn't pass her up.

The C.C. cover I have is by Movic, but mine is still sealed. The detailing doesn't look that great up close, but the overall image is supposed to be pretty good (it's the epic ass cover.) I still have no idea why it's so valuable, but the sealed Japanese version has been selling for 25k-38k recently (25k on Mandarake, 38k on YJA.)

I'd imagine it's similar to any company cover, tbh. If you like them, there's no reason why you shouldn't like this one, I'd guess.

Of recent Movic covers I have their Asama cover from Horizon http://blog.埋もれる抱き枕er.jp/archives/7833 which is also smooth knit.

They're pretty standard smooth knit (as in the types of smooth knit everyone but Cospa uses). Print quality/resolution is fine but nothing amazing. I'll check it again tonight in case there's anything worth mentioning that I've forgotten.
