I chose artwork. To me if it looks like crap it's crap. Didn't you hear the little message when you were a kid, "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and sounds like a duck then it's a _____" I usually choose goat, but... that's just me. Anyways, I'm getting off topic, artwork is by far the most important, at least to me.
Story is a close second, but hell, most people just look at the pictures and go "Ooooohh, pretty."

Artwork takes the cake for the most important aspect. Inazuma is my favorite for anyone willing to take my opinion.

I go for the story and the art. I like the more graphic kind of stuff but if there is no point to it then it is not as interesting.

Artowrk is the most important to me. If something I read doesn't have a coherent plot, I expect a lot of pretty art.

truth enough, I don't usually care about anything besides the artwork xD it the pic is good, so be it. ^^

I voted for Artwork. I "read" doujins for the art. If I wanted a story I'd read a manga. Language not at all because I like to interpret the art as something else. I hate censorship because it's obscuring the good stuff.Edited: I currently don't have a favorite artist.

I'd say story, because well you dont want to read something that is plain boring.
Then good art work :] and needs to be English, otherwise, i wouldnt understand the story in the first place...

I prefer language. I shy away from stuff I can't read or understand. Though, Artwork and Story ARE NOT far behind AT ALL.

For me it's a tie voted for story because you can only vote for one. However artwork and story carry equal weight for me.

I chose artwork to be the most important because if it doesnt look good or seem real than it a major turn off. A good example would be breast that defy gravity. The next important thing would be story. Without good story it just porn or cartoon porn. Hell, I wouldn't call it hentai if it doesnt have a good storyline and it just mindless fucking. With those two elements combined, it be a hentai worth reading or watching. Censorship and color, I dont care. Language I could read and understand would help.

1st artwork
Since I can't read japanese and most of the doujinshi made their first appeareance in japanese, the artwork is the first thing able to catch my eyes.
2nd story
In spite of the point above, I always try to guess what's going on. A decent plot would be really nice. Not only bang-the-slut.
3rd color
This could be a feast to your eyes. Yes, I said "It could be"! Some colors are inhuman. As if they are made to cause my eyes imploding.
And if the artwork is bad, no colors are justify to pick it though.
4rth censorship
If everything else is fine, I don't care if there a huge stripes, blurres or transparent parts.
Of course, I will always jump on the decensored versions :wink:
About the language
If there is an english translation, I would be really happy and grateful. I'm always eager to get my hands on them.
German translations usually suck.
Last but not least:
No, I don't have a No.1 artist.

This is a repeat of a poll from nearly nine months ago, but in that time we have more than tripled the amount of active users coming to the site, so it's new for a lot of people. Pretty similar goes for me, first place takes Art, second takes story line, then third takes language.
As for favorite artists i've got gathered a few while i was visiting fakku for the last few years wich are:
Placing first on my shelf is - Kisaragi Gunma
My second Favorite goes to - Hagure Tanishi
Placing third is - 2STROKE
4. Cuvie
5. Nise and Nise Midi Doronokai
6. Takenoko Seijin
7. Tanaka Ekisu
8. Shiwasu No Okina
Also one of the recent new artists that appeared on fakku that seems to satisfy my tastes is (Yamatogawa) with theyr new Tayu Tayu series.
And rest are a few other artists that didn't really release alot of douhins so i'm too lazy to post them all >.<
Oh and also i feel ashamed of one of the great artists that i've forgotten to mention that takes about around my 2-3 second place wich is 2STROKE.
