Subbed. Most dubs arent worth shit, most of the time failing to express any feelings in their voices. It always sounds like they are reading some king of dull monologue...
There are only three dubs which I really liked, and sometimes consider better than the originals, and they are all Latin-American spanish dubs (FMA, DBZ, Saint Seya )

Some dubs are good but subs always come through.
I mean the cute girls sound cuter on subs and the guys sound tougher too.

So how's life back in the 90s? The reason you'll almost never find anything that follows your whiny moments nowadays. Continue to prove my belief that most of you "sub fans" don't know a thing about what you're saying. The last I checked, the majority of the stuff we watch came after the 20th century. We know what we are saying because we have watched a lot of subbed works and in comparison to the majority of works that has been dubbed, there really is no equivalent. You can try to bash the subbing business all you want but it does not change the fact that English Dubs are primarily second rate. I don't care how good YOU think they are, they still perform marginally worse than any Japanese voice actor. There may be exceptions but they are few and far between. In America, voice acting is a profession, in Japan, it is an art form. The difference is huge.

Subbed of course! I can't stand dubbed animes, somehow i feel those american Voice actors to be overdramatic, they almost allways have bad vocies to the characters, the only english dubb i like is Vic mignoian(or however it's spelled) as Edward

i have to go with dub here, because, although most of them suck, the few good ones are really good. or it could just be because i'm laxy and prefer listening to the english words rather than read them. you decide.
but, i still like to watch subs, and they have helped me to improve my minute Knowledge of Japanese. but i especially like dubs that come with culture notes, those are the best.

Subs are way better because I won't find someone who is supposed to be around 20 something sounding like they're 35-40.

Subbed is obviously better.
Watched every anime out there since the day I knew how torrents worked :p.
Before that, there was only anime on TV. And that was in English...
- DBZ
- Gundam
Some I watched in english... Like Cromartie High School. Cracked me up.
PS : also 1 percent is missing :)

I have mixed feeling about the whole thing. Until about a year ago, I would have never thought to look up the anime they played on Cartoon Network and watch them in their original context. Though, at the same time, I'll take what I can get.
Some anime I would rather watched subbed, like Eureka 7, Macross, Cowboy Beebop (Beautifully done IMO), Yu Yu Hakusho, Inuyasha, and Code Geass. Thought that may just be because they were always dubbed and I viewed them as such.
Anime like Bleach and Fullmetal Alchemist, I can go either way on. In my opinion, they sound good in either language.
At the same time, anime like Naruto and One Piece, in which the voice actors are OVERZELOUSLY annoying, It's subbed all the way. The language barrier, which I have yet to break through, makes them sound considerably less annoying.
Though, I'm sure it's the same with all of you as it is with me: I'll take what I can get if I need my anime fix. Haha.

I think that of all the poles this website had, this was the one with where one side won with an overwhelming landslide - 90% vs 9%... holy mother
