SUB is the best!whahah=D Because most of the dubbed anime is lame. The dubbers' voice do not match the character the best example of those dubbers are from 4kids /gg=D
The nonsense regurgitated in your post and left me in disbelief and absolute disgust. I'm with the one who pretty much roasted every and all foolish "reason" that I've seen in this place.

Sigh. There is not even a proper debate. ITS OBVIOUS!!!
Japanese people should stick to their dubs and we will sub that. That is their best work after all. When Jap dubs are used for anything other than their own products it sucks. Best examples are "300" [Spartan Movie] and "Star Wars".
Meanwhile English should stick with their own stuffs!!! Stick with the movies and comics and animations such as Spiderman, Phantom Etc... You do get the occasional better voice actors for Jap stuff, but that is too rare. Only example I can think that dubbing is better is MGS and that's not even an ANIME!!!
Overall. Originals will be originals!!!
SUBBED ANIME WINS!!!

lulz, i was expecting the one sided battle. And i chose subbed - i really cant stand the bad english(the language i watch if dubbed) voice acting. I'm not saying that all are bad, but to me the majority is - and it's more authentic when its in japanese and you just read the subtitles

For me, it all depends on the anime. Because I'm for both Japanese and English versions of certain anime I watch. There are some in which I prefer the Japanese version over the English versions (Example: Yu-Gi-Oh! & Law of Ueki) and others in that I prefer the English versions (Example: Most Gundam series & Kaze no Stigma). Generally, if an anime is brought to the U.S. for dubbing, then I look forward to its release because I'd rather listen to a speech rather than having to read subtitles and miss everything else. Of course, I can read and focus on the anime at the same time, but it's just that I can relax a little more to have to hear someone talk without having to read anything. If it's any good, then I'll watch it in English, otherwise, I'll just watch it in Japanese. To me, it just depends on the casting of each versions that'll determine which version I'll watch it in. In most cases, I'll watch it in both versions simply because I can.GUNDAM? WHY GUNDAM!!!??? Oh wait. Don't worry. I saw your name. How can you like such a disgusting watered down version of the best Gundams... UC is the best! The dubbing for Gundam characters all suck man... Even though I hate the rip off of 0079, the jap voices were better in that series too.
Ah well. Epic fail is what goes in my mind. But they say "to each their own" so I'll respect your opinion.
GUNDAM UNIVERSAL CENTURY FOR THE WIN!!! SIEG ZEON!!!

Subbed anime just ridiculous...
In my country (Indonesia), the character voices just don't fit...

OMG.. I'm utterly shocked at the results. I was expecting a 100% to 0% vote.. Of course the 100% goes to subbed anime

wow i thought dub would be winning be a long shot i dont see why everyone loves sub so muchIts a simple matter of preference but works in their original languages are better when the original creaters do everything. Dubs and voice actors in any other language besides the original voices are just tryhards. With english dubs its just best to call them all "Wapanese."
Wapanese [Waa-Paa-Nee-z]:
The definition of what a Westerner does in order to fit into being a japanese citizen. They will stop at nothing to become one. Even if it annoys people.

After you get used to hearing japanese (which, for me, happened at around 20something-th episode watched), dubbed anime start to lose any appeal.
However, if there was one anime I enjoyed hearing in English was the 52 episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist (not the current Brotherhood, the first adaptation). The voices just.. fitted. And -maybe- the Hellsing episodes, though it's been a few years since I watched that so I don't quite remember if that's the case or not.

If you don't understand Japanese anime with no sub, then i'll watch sub.. some times the dub doesn't fit

If the choice is between an exceptionally well done dub and a dub, I'll have to go with the dub, every time. So I pick dub.
However, this is usually not the case, so I usually watch subs.

Sub all the way..
Reason number 1:
The Japanese voice actors owns all the Dubbed voices! It's a one sided battle.Besides, original is better :P and it's a good way to improve my Japanese.
Reason number 2:
The voices from the English voice actors usually do not fit their respective character's personality. Also,it sounds quite horrible for some reason.

I prefer the dubbed
but if I'm going to watch the subbed I feel I may aswell pick up the manga (if it has one since I'm going to be reading) and I can't enjoy the animation as much since I'm always looking at the bottom of the screen
I've always thought it was a little funny with some people who bash a dub since the majority don't understand how to tell if a japanese track is good or bad
