i use nod32
"nod is god"- quote from somewhere i don't remember
nod32 is simple and silent and also very effective
i do like kaspersky, but to much heavy CPU usage only good if you got quad core and can run shit with ease

avast, simple and efficient. My first AV before trying Norton (which isn't even an AV, did more damage than any virus I had), NOD 32, Kaspervsky (or something like that) and a whole bunch of others. Ended up back to avast because it was so easy to set up and use.

as for anti-virus, I use ESET Smart Securityâ„¢ 3.0.684.0 with the FiX crack from SHELOMOTUVI.
as for anti-spyware, I use Spyware Doctor 6.0.0.386. <- This REALLY HEALS your computer system when infected with malware and trojans which NOD32 cannot fix. but the price to pay is, you must have a crack for the Spyware Doctor to Fix infected systems. Without a crack, it can only scan but cannot fix/heal/remove infections.
just torrent it, you can find them anywhere.

I've personally built a liking to F-Secure software (Finnish anti-virus, anti-spyware software) and it has catched in last 2 years few hundred bugs on the PC and got rid of them. Along with it I have the Ad-Aware and Spybot.
Roughly every month i do a full system scan, if things go even a tad bit haywire, it's instant full scan.
F-Secure is a bit on the pricey side of the AV software though. At least there isn't monthly payment and about every 3rd day a update.

I used to use AVG, but I kinda fell out of it. Now I keep all my drivers and the MSI's of my favorite programs in a single dir on my secondary hdd, and all of my other bullshit (eg. movies, hentai, anime, etc.) on the same drive. Now, when ever my computer gets a virus, or starts slowing up, or, sometimes, just for the hell of it, or monthly, whatever comes first, I just throw in my OS cd and reformat my primary hdd. 'Tsbeen working pretty well for a while now.

AVG but it boots you out of games to update and tell you it is scanning which is really annoying.
Spybot Search & Destroy but you have to update it manually.
Hijack This! Which is just awesome, but a bit advanced

I don't use an anti-virus since I monitor all of my processes manually. So far I haven't gotten a single virus in the past 4 or so years (Except one which I was stupid enough to install... which I was smart enough to be able to get rid of in five minutes or so.).I keep Ad-Aware on my system so every so often I can scan my system. It never finds anything but tracking cookies. Nothing that exciting. So, basically I don't use anything but common sense.
SERIOULY?!?!?! damn how u learn how to do that???
