Your anti-virus and anti-spyware of choice?

SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes anti-malware, they're both free and actually work.

Some friend give usb to you for storing data .. he/she said that usb is clean and no need to worry ..

Well. It does take time. And disc space. And cpu load. And nerves. Atleast if you use some of these paranoid AntiVirus tools which are running all the time, ask if something want to do something, etc. Every week some checks, thats ok. But more is paranoia I think.


If you're not protected by anti-virus and a firewall, you will never know if you are infected. Many viruses now a days only use your computer to spam others, so you may never know that you are infected.
In short, no matter how good you are doing, you wont know if you are infected if you do not run some anti-virus and monitor your out going connections.


And as an addition to this, most antivirus and anti-malware programs have something called Quick-scan, which does not take that much time. Maybe in low end computers it might be troublesome, but i can watch anime while scanning and such.

Malwarebytes and AVG. Free & Reliable. Unfortunately, my friends always managed to fuck shit up and get some viruses on my computer. Thanks to Malwarebytes and AVG, i always managed to fix them.

I use avast! Antivirus and i also have Ad-Aware.

Why 2 antiviruses at the same time? You're just slowing your computer down. God and if you have Vista, i wonder how are you able to live? D=

I use Webroot on any PC I own, I like it because it's updated constantly and it's programmed well, which means you can run a full scan while doing other things and it won't lag your computer much at all.

Oh and my buddy who has worked as a computer tech for years has seen countless computers bricked (destroyed) by McAfee and Norton. So I suggest staying away from those. Oh and they brick due to bad programming of McAfee and Norton.
