Magnolia definitely raises the bar in the sequel.

Agree, Magnolia does.
On another note... I randomly came across this and I found it awesome, so I am sharing it.

Everybody go take this survey and complain about censorship like I did. Also mention something about getting rid of region locking.

Good, meaty thighs and demo. It's entertaining, but a total grindfest; fortunately the combat system facilitates grinding with the "brave" option. I imagine the 24 jobs driving completionists insane, along with all the wannabe pokemon masters who strive to be the very best like no one ever was. I like the dungeon exploration and the sheer variety this game offers is impressive. Guaranteed buy from me at this point.
This "friend" system square had built into the game is a blatant spread the disease scheme. I can only hope there are no egregious DLC practices. It wouldn't be surprising to see them sell job skins and even jobs. All this trivial shit belongs in the realm of "free bonus, thanks for playing" anyway. On the PC, things like that are called "mods."
Ninja is a pretty boss class. Also, has anyone else tried molesting the fairy on the bottom screen to see if she'd say anything?

Yep, just got my copy. The English voices aren't bad.
EDIT: Just found the Japanese voice setting in config. One of the boss's voice annoyed the shit out of me.

I can live with these changes. It's a change to the game that didn't make much sense, but don't really care enough that it was changed. It's not like monpiece where they are removing the content that makes their game popular in the first place and I don't find it as upsetting as Azure Dreams,
Spoiler:
where the ability to marry one of the many girls was removed.

I have to agree with the not caring and not as a big deal compared to the monpiece censor. I've also heard not entirely sure its true, the censored costumes were actual concept designs by the artist who did the costumes, so if that is true then doesn't seem as bad.

So I got my copy of the collector's edition today. The UPS guy delivered it around noon and I've been playing the crap out of it.
I fooled around a little bit with the AR cards, just to see what they did. I haven't gone through all of them but the first six that are done in a minimalist type art style (black, white, & one other color) activate a little movie that displays on top of the surroundings on the 3D screen. The rest of the cards display an interact-able character model in the in-game art style.
The soundtrack only has ten tracks but they're all pretty good.
The art book was nice as well. It seemed mostly to be images of the various characters and a few pictures of different locations. Some of the pages of the locations might make for good wallpapers. Also, as RBZ said, goddamn the girls have some thick thighs. I don't know if it's just the art style or what.
As for the game itself, it feels like an older final fantasy, in terms of the style of game-play, only with less grind. I've just gotten to the desert area and I'm in the thieves den right now. I may need to head back out and resupply before taking on the boss(es) though.

Okay, have fun supporting censorship everyone. You're missing the point completely if you think supporting it's okay because they didn't remove anything that altered the game-play or story.
