Marvel vs Capcom 3

Seems like it happens from both sides really.
A lot of mashing on the heavy button too. Seems you only know how to use one button.
I really should have been doing better, but the netplay makes it hard for me to punish your very unsafe moves properly, or even block.
Examples would include Akuma's Tatsu, Wolverine's Berserker Barrage, Chun's DP, among numerous others.
Also, learning to block really helps. You seem to get hit by my most random stupid stuff.

Yea I really do need to work on my blocking. And hopefully next time we play I won't get beaten so badly.

I find this match to be a little more entertaining.Spoiler:
I'll also be on Marvel for a while today as well. Add me or invite me if you wish to play. @_@ I'll be very free.
Marn dropped so many combos in this that it hurt to watch...

Wednesday Night Fights - http://www.justin.tv/offcast
Starbase - http://www.justin.tv/iplaywinner/
Wednesday Night Fights seems to be the better of the two. WNF being in SoCal and Starbase in NorCal.

I may have spoken to soon about jill...toss some x-factor or some good assists into this ,and I can see myself using her

The timing on Jill's advanced combos are extremely strict and require a lot of buffering. Once you grasp that, and get some practice in with her speed boost hyper, you'll be able to dish out some solid damage.

I really want to learn to play Doom, at least at a proficient enough level to not have him as a liability.
I want my team to end up being Arthur, Doctor Doom, and Dormammu.
Although, my dream team would be C. Viper, Tron Bonne, and Morrigan. Still trying to properly do Viper's cancels. She's really execution heavy. x-x
I need to play fighting games a lot more. @_@

New fightstick came in today. Time to start playing again.
Looks nice and it's a blazblue tournament Edition (Instant fav).
Sadly I don't think i'll ever get used to a Aracde controller.

Hrm, I'm not saying you can't be good without one but an Arcade stick lets you be more dynamic in my opinion. You can pull off combos with greater ease and the muscle memory in your fingers just seems to flow across the buttons with more precision than using just your thumb on a regular controller. ESPECIALLY is that controller is an Xbox controller - those things just seem to not be made for fight games I think.

It's Hard to call assists though, since I need to combine many of my "finger skills". Like the "hook" with the joystick position. lol
The joystick is still much better compare to this.

^Kaimax - Yeah I actually had a friend who plays like that. He takes it to another level though... he uses the controller like it is a mini fight pad... he even pinches the analog stick between his thumb and middle finger.
But for anyone who didn't know, if you don't like the arcade stick, there are still "fight pads" that are shaped like regular controllers but have modified button layouts to make it easier to pull off combos.

Get a hitbox, it's pretty cool. Check out Shoryken.com or google or even Youtube for more about it. It may soon replace fight sticks. No need for joystick movements.

Me, I still prefer a joystick over a hit-box stick any day, but that's just me being old-school. I grew up on playing stick and I can't really imagine playing a fighting game with buttons, besides on a PC keyboard, in which case, still dislike.

So you play claw style, Kaimax? I tend to use my thumbs, but I have some difficulty pulling off the dragon punch motion sometimes on pad. The debate over whether pads or sticks always seemed pointless to me though, both have their pro's and con's, it comes down to what you're comfortable with. The only advantage I'll cede to the stick is that it's easier to pull off things like pianoing and plinking on a stick.
