Marvel vs Capcom 3

I can not wait until UMvC3 is released for better netcoding. It is so hard to punish Akuma Tatsu spammers online.

I don't know if it's necessarily "hard", but I agree. I also have trouble with Akuma spammers.

I don't have any trouble offline. Just count the Tatsus. 1-2-3-pause-Advancing Guard- Dash - Punish.

Online I try to do that timing, but I do it too early or too late and they hit with the last Tatsu keeping me in enough blockstun that they are safe or too late where I cannot dash in fast enough for the punish. It's troubling.

Is the new one out already? Because the MVC3 lobbies are DEAD.

Nothing unsusual. I've always had problems finding a match on MVC3. Hell, even when I finally did find a match, I'd always get paired up with someone a good 6 ranks above me. Raep then ensued.

Pretty much the same thing that happened to me too. I used to wait for more than 15 minutes for 1 match and get beaten since the only available player is a high ranked and obviously more skilled than me.

Same here. That is why i like to play with people from fakku because they suck as much as me.

If I could find ranked matches, I could very well be a 1st Lord at the least, but I am only a 9th Lord. I find that I can beat anyone. Some people are more difficult then others, but I will never get beat up so badly.

That is true. Online is different from real life.

I was just saying the level of skill online is not good, on PSN anyway. That is all. I did not mean to offend anyone. I know there are a lot of really good people, but the majority of online, even the Cosmic Lords, I can at least hang for a little while and put up a good fight.

And if anyone wants to test me out, I am free for games.

I've never seen this video until now, I almost missed out if I didn't see this post. Ise's probably the best Dante player for both DMC 3 and MvsC3, it's a shame we don't see this guy do any actual tournaments, but at least Daigo's the second best Dante I've seen who come close pulling combos like this. I'd like to see what he pulls out when UMvsC3 comes out.

I don't doubt the possibility that you could be better than most of us on Fakku. It's that you believe that you're good enough to be 1st Lord material is what makes me skeptical. I've had my ass handed to me by a 5th Judge who kept putting me in combos that I swear must've lasted a good 10-15 seconds in time. I hardly got a chance to even fight back in my matches against him. I was just thankful as hell that it wasn't a ranked match.

My point being, a LOT of guys online know their shit.

It is not hard to become a first lord. You just need to play a lot and have a win percentage of in the 60s and get lucky in rank up games. That is not hard to do. There are a lot of bad players as first lords.

Combos don't mean a whole lot. I can also do those 15-20-25 second Dante and Tron combos, but I don't use either of those characters. They feel awkward for me in an actual match. Execution is not a huge problem if you just practice.
Use characters you are comfortable with and if you know your BnB, you should be fine. Why go for the fancy stuff you are likely to drop when you can go for the easier one for slightly less damage? I have been guilty of going for fancy combos when I know an opponent is clearly inferior to myself, but if they are good or better, I will play with good fundamentals: control space, control movement, try to get my opponent to do what I want him to do.

Anyone have a dream list of DLC characters that should make it to UMvC3?

... That's all I can think of for the Marvel side...

I've yet to play the new one, but I have only the fondest memories of MvC2. I should probably shell out for it soon, because I have the itch pretty bad.

Wait a 3-5 of months after Ultimate MvC3 is out, just in case CAPCOM does something "funny" again.
