Star Wars: The Old Republic - Online

As huge Star Wars fan i am so looking forward to this game and i'm definitely going to buy it.

From what i have seen it looks like it's going to be awesome.

There are rumors that there will be a big release of info on Christmas, so look forward to that. Speculations says everything from the revealing of species to space combat gameplay. Exciting, eh?

Even though I guess you know the official site I will post it here as well, if there is any update. As I said, is a rumor =P

I don't suppose that this rumor has origins in anything someone official said? Probably not. Then again even if it's just a guess it wouldn't be an unlikely thing for a company to do.

In all honesty, I have no idea, I've just heard this on some SWTOR RP forums, and I don't know where they heard it. But yea, people say that since they've already revealed all the classes and planets, it Must be a new thing, like the races.

Well, seem like the rumors were untrue after all. Or, there was an update, but it was not as groundbreaking as people had hoped. Anyway, it's another part of the Developer Dispatch, Designing the Dark side. Not too shabby I guess, just feels like I've heard all this already.

Yeah I saw that today too. Well at least they gave us something at all. I've started looking into joining a guild for ToR (no real reason, I was bored). I'll tell you guys if I find one worth a damn.

Yea well, the gameplay you saw looked a bit nicer, and they had also made themselves a real interface, finally =P

Guilds? Depends on what kind of guild you want, I'm into RP, so I've joined, left and searched around for a number of guilds for a while now. Guess I could list some if anyone is interested in good RP-guilds. Many of them have kinda strict application requirements though, so be prepared of writing walls of RP-text, and that is just to become an initiate, a member takes even more to become.

There is also a guild forum, and specifically a "Looking for Guilds" thread in the forum where you can write, my mailbox were full invitations afterwards, so that's one way of looking. There's a lot of shitty guilds though, you have to sort out the pearls from the shit.

Yeah I know what you mean. Actually I utilized that thread recently and am checking out a group called Midnight Squadron. They seemed to be the best of the bunch who sent me pms. They aren't a heavy RP guild though. If this group doesn't seem fun (I probably won't have come to a conclusion on this for a few weeks) I think I'll just say fuck it and make my own group for my own personal use or perhaps we could make a Fakku guild.

lol, yea, a Fakku guild would be awesome =P I've actually thought of making my own guild, only problem being; I have yet to learn how to make websites and for the moment, I don't wanna pay to have it up. Anyway, I'm mostly interested to be able to do some heavy RPing if I want, and just pvp or do whatthefuck else if I want that.

Basically, I want a guild with good RP possibilities or just free form pvp/pve or w/e if you want to do that, mature, knowledgeable and friendly players. I'm kinda biased against people who call other players noobs, flame or gank, even if it's not me. The best way to do it would be to make my own guild, but that takes energy and knowledge =P

Well you should probably (maybe) be able to find something if you post in the looking for guild thread and say you want a heavy RP guild.

I'm already a member in a heavy RP guild =P A very good one two. But they're so stuck up. Also, people who roleplay Jedi's or Sith has a tendency of being.... overly dramatic.

lol yeah. That's the major reason I can't get into heavy RP in MMO's. It's not that I don't like RPing...it's just that too many people who do, do it wrong.

Seems like we'll have to wait for at least a year until the game is released Dx Sadness. Anyway, hopefully the closed Beta will start in a few months or so, and if I or any of you don't get to play it, then we'll wait for the open one =D

Now this has been confirmed to be part of game testing. But they are yet ready to make any announcement for the beta. But in my opinion, it one step closer to it :)
