Even though everyone claims that globalisation has made travelling much easier, I don't think it is quite possible for me to drive from Asia all the way to North America. After all, the two continents are separated by an ocean and rather costly air tickets.
Nonetheless, it is good to read about Waar meeting up with other users on Fakku. Perhaps I am being far too optimistic, but I would like to believe that most active members on Fakku can't be all that bad.
However, I do have one question which bugs me a little: On average, how many days of annual leave are employees entitled to in Cananda and United States? All the convention and meetup stories make me think that you guys are having fun 24/7... while I am stuck at my desk job. :D

The conspiracy theorist side of me says that the list holds a hidden meaning.
In fact, if I did not decipher it wrongly, it could possibly be a list of members to be banned since they are dangerous and a threat to the Fakku community. :D

Reminds me of Prince of Tennis, where Ryoma played the captain of some other team for a prolonged period of time.
I can't really remember the name of the captain, but he had to shave his hair after the loss.

Go New Zealand go! We need a minnow to bring the fairy tale further!
However, with that being said, New Zealand has already surpassed all expectations by drawing with Slovakia and furthermore, the 2006 World Champions, Italy. I am quite sure everyone expected them to be the whipping boys of their group before the start of the tournament.
I would also like to see another Asian team in the round of 16, which will most probably be Japan. Go Japan go too!

Gambler were you shocked to see 7 -0 on the scoreboard of the match between Portugal and N.K?Actually, I wasn't shocked. I kinda expected a high-scoring game coming up, though it is virtually impossible to predict when it will occur. After all, it is a must in each World Cup tournament. Examples include Argentina 6 Serbia and Montenegro 0 in 2006, and Germany 8 Saudi Arabia 0 in 2002
Anyway, I haven't been able to post my predictions for the last couple of days due to work. The following would be my predictions for the upcoming 4 matches:
Italy v Slovakia:
Italy should defeat Slovakia and make it to the round of 16. France has already been knocked out, but big names are still required to attract viewers.
New Zealand v Paraguay:
New Zealand to pull a shock win over Paraguay. Every tournament needs a fairy tale, and New Zealand is taking the role of bringing this fairy tale further.
Holland v Cameroon:
Draw. Holland has more or less qualified for the round of 16. No point risking their injury-prone players or collecting more yellow cards. Cameroon deserve a point for their efforts thus far.
Japan v Denmark:
Draw. I work in a Japanese firm and if Japan wins the World Cup, I get a big bonus. Just kidding. :D Apart from South Korea, I foresee another Asian team in the next round.
I believe this thread is getting way off topic, so I have no choice but to lock it.
However, to answer the thread starter's question, I don't believe there is any one particular trait that can make an user become a Mod or an Admin. Just be yourself on Fakku, though it wouldn't be wise to break the rules.
Everyone is allowed to dream. I will definitely not dash your hopes because no one knows what the future holds.

Since I won some money from the draw between Italy and New Zealand last night, I placed my bets on the following matches, which will begin shortly.
Portugal v N.Korea - Draw
Chile v Switzerland - Draw
Hint: My predictions are not based on form, but rather how the eventual points for each group will turn out, so it may not be very accurate.

I am not quite convinced that this thread belongs to the serious discussion section. As such, I will be moving it over to the general discussion section, where the nature of the topic fits its location more appropriately.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
P.S. If the human psychology is further discussed in depth, I believe I could move it back to SD.

I am caught between moving this thread to the requests section or the general discussion section. However, if I were to move this thread to the latter, it may set a precedent for others to start threads asking for recommendations or something along those lines.
As such, I apologize for having to move this thread over to the requests section.

I strongly believe that Australia is going to beat Ghana tonight.
How often do you see a group with all teams having 3 points each before going into the last round of matches of the group stage? This way, everyone will give their best.

Fuck, You did pretty well this week! (CONGRATS man) :PWho wouldve thought that England wouldve only got a draw against Algeria though?... Apart from Gambler that is!! ^____^
If only Podolski scored through the penalty which Germany was given against Serbia, I would have won big time. Nonetheless, I should be content; after all my winnings were more than the previous amount combined (although the total sum is rather small since my bets are in demoninators of $1, $2.50, $5 and $10).

What happens if in the England/US/Algeria/Slovenia group US-Algeria is a draw and England-Slovenia is a draw? You have two teams with 3 points and a 0 goal differential. What's the next tiebreaker?Your question can be answered based on the following paragraph I found on wikipedia, with FIFA being the source:
Wikipedia wrote...
Tie-breaking criteriaFor the World Cup tournament, FIFA uses the following criteria to rank teams in the Group Stage.[67]
1) greatest number of points in all group matches;
2) goal difference in all group matches;
3) greatest number of goals scored in all group matches;
4) greatest number of points in matches between tied teams;
5) goal difference in matches between tied teams;
6) greatest number of goals scored in matches between tied teams;
7) drawing of lots by the FIFA Organising Committee.
There is only one match which I am confident about tonight, namely Ghana v Australia:
Prediction - Australia to beat Ghana. Once this criteria has been fulfilled, all teams in Group D will have the same number of points, which means they will give their best on the very last round of matches in the Group Stage.
In addition, I have a strong feeling that a match with a total of 6 goals may be coming up, most probably tonight. Those who are willing to try their luck and have some money to spare can put their money on a high-scoring game for Cameroon v Denmark.

Lol! 100%... Wrong! >____<You are definitely right. I lost half of all my winnings on yesterday's games. :(
However, I am adamant that a draw will occur today and I have placed my money on draws for all 3 matches: Germany v Serbia, Slovenia v USA and England v Algeria.
I know some people find draws boring, but if they are high scoring draws, I get to win my money and you get to enjoy your matches. Best of both worlds eh? :D
Hohoho, necrobump.
I don't resort to violence. Ok, mainly because if I were to attack someone, I will most probably lose the fight eventually.
Can you really be sure that I am sane? :D
Forgive me for being uncharacteristically rude, but may I say "lolwut?". Surely the age where you have to provide for your children and wife comes before the age where you have to provide for your parents? And provide for your siblings? This rhetorical question could spectacularly backfire, but are your siblings all drooling giddily in wheelchairs?
Like what I spoke to Teclo via PM, my parents are retired and my sister is going to start her university programme soon. Being the sole breadwinner of the family, I have to provide for them. And yes, I still live with my parents, which is very common for the local society.

Lol, I have to thank Kuroneko 1/2 for creating a thread on my behalf. Now that my work is done, I thought I might have a little fun too... that is, if anyone actually wants to hear my views. ^_^;;
Because work in real-life takes up quite a bit of my time.
Of course, I would like to spend all my time at home surfing the net and downloading hentai, but I have reached an age where I have to provide for my parents and siblings.
And why do stupid people think when they fap their intelligence increases? It's just endorphins clearing your thoughts.

I do not believe that one place is cooler than another. All is fine as long as one is having fun... without breaking the rules. :D
Gambler, why do you always say "Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience caused?"
Thank you because a particular member may have taken the time to read through my post. Sorry for the inconvenience caused because I feel bad about certain decisions I have to make.
Example: Someone puts in a lot of effort into creating a thread, but it is a repeat and thus locked.

It is a shame I have to move Nikon's original thread to the incoherent babbling section due to the mass "Any Me Anything" topics which have appeared on Random.
I do not believe in double standards; staff members and ordinary members should be treated equally as far as possible, even if it means offending the higher management.
@Nikon: If you are reading this, I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Mod Note:Ok, the numerous "Ask Me Anything" threads are getting out of hand. I am moving all of them to the Incoherent Babbling section. If the situation does not get any better, I might consider the trash bin.

What is your logic? It was an honest thread. IB is for spam. This is not spam, its a simple Q&A. Just because the threads were in abundance doesn't mean they were spam. Also, if you're moving ours, you would have to move Jacob's as well, if this were to be a fair site.
@Midgar: I thought you would have understood me after all the years you have been here. I have never condone double standards, especially in the treatment of ordinary members and that of the staff.
I have no qualms about moving Jacob's and Nikon's threads even if I have to face the music for doing so.
I believe I am going to come under some fire for this, but to ensure that Fakku does not practice double standards, I have no choice but to move Jacob's thread to the incoherent babbling section due to the mass "Ask Me Anything" threads which have appeared recently.
