Even though everyone claims that globalisation has made travelling much easier, I don't think it is quite possible for me to drive from Asia all the way to North America. After all, the two continents are separated by an ocean and rather costly air tickets.

Nonetheless, it is good to read about Waar meeting up with other users on Fakku. Perhaps I am being far too optimistic, but I would like to believe that most active members on Fakku can't be all that bad.

However, I do have one question which bugs me a little: On average, how many days of annual leave are employees entitled to in Cananda and United States? All the convention and meetup stories make me think that you guys are having fun 24/7... while I am stuck at my desk job. :D

The conspiracy theorist side of me says that the list holds a hidden meaning.

In fact, if I did not decipher it wrongly, it could possibly be a list of members to be banned since they are dangerous and a threat to the Fakku community. :D

Reminds me of Prince of Tennis, where Ryoma played the captain of some other team for a prolonged period of time.

However, with that being said, New Zealand has already surpassed all expectations by drawing with Slovakia and furthermore, the 2006 World Champions, Italy. I am quite sure everyone expected them to be the whipping boys of their group before the start of the tournament.

I would also like to see another Asian team in the round of 16, which will most probably be Japan. Go Japan go too!

Actually, I wasn't shocked. I kinda expected a high-scoring game coming up, though it is virtually impossible to predict when it will occur. After all, it is a must in each World Cup tournament. Examples include Argentina 6 Serbia and Montenegro 0 in 2006, and Germany 8 Saudi Arabia 0 in 2002

Anyway, I haven't been able to post my predictions for the last couple of days due to work. The following would be my predictions for the upcoming 4 matches:

Italy v Slovakia:
Italy should defeat Slovakia and make it to the round of 16. France has already been knocked out, but big names are still required to attract viewers.

New Zealand v Paraguay:
New Zealand to pull a shock win over Paraguay. Every tournament needs a fairy tale, and New Zealand is taking the role of bringing this fairy tale further.

Holland v Cameroon:
Draw. Holland has more or less qualified for the round of 16. No point risking their injury-prone players or collecting more yellow cards. Cameroon deserve a point for their efforts thus far.

Japan v Denmark:
Draw. I work in a Japanese firm and if Japan wins the World Cup, I get a big bonus. Just kidding. :D Apart from South Korea, I foresee another Asian team in the next round.

I believe this thread is getting way off topic, so I have no choice but to lock it.

However, to answer the thread starter's question, I don't believe there is any one particular trait that can make an user become a Mod or an Admin. Just be yourself on Fakku, though it wouldn't be wise to break the rules.

Everyone is allowed to dream. I will definitely not dash your hopes because no one knows what the future holds.

Since I won some money from the draw between Italy and New Zealand last night, I placed my bets on the following matches, which will begin shortly.

Portugal v N.Korea - Draw

Chile v Switzerland - Draw

Hint: My predictions are not based on form, but rather how the eventual points for each group will turn out, so it may not be very accurate.

Nonetheless, I should be content; after all my winnings were more than the previous amount combined (although the total sum is rather small since my bets are in demoninators of $1, $2.50, $5 and $10).

However, I am adamant that a draw will occur today and I have placed my money on draws for all 3 matches: Germany v Serbia, Slovenia v USA and England v Algeria.

I know some people find draws boring, but if they are high scoring draws, I get to win my money and you get to enjoy your matches. Best of both worlds eh? :D

Like what I spoke to Teclo via PM, my parents are retired and my sister is going to start her university programme soon. Being the sole breadwinner of the family, I have to provide for them. And yes, I still live with my parents, which is very common for the local society.

I believe I am going to come under some fire for this, but to ensure that Fakku does not practice double standards, I have no choice but to move Jacob's thread to the incoherent babbling section due to the mass "Ask Me Anything" threads which have appeared recently.
