[Anime] Kill la Kill

Kind of late that I started this series, but you know what? It was freaking worth it, now I can understand all the hype surrounding this show, it could be a strong contender for Attack on Titan for best anime of the year, but we'll see how it pans out story wise from what I've seen so far. As far as I know, the action scenes are so out there is just enjoyable and loving the Gurren Lagann references (if any have been indicated.)
Already watched the first three and ready for episode 4, bring the noise!

[color=#006FFF]Episode 4 had to be the most Panty & Stocking x Inferno Cop episode of anything ever--whether that makes sense or not. It was more of a "lets have some fun after all that action" kind of episode and it was great. The animation was hilarious because of how purposely half-assed or ridiculous it was at times and the whole plot of it was enjoyable too; very PSG-like.
Overall, I enjoyed it quite a bit (it made me want to go back and watch some PSG) and look forward to the seemingly more serious/story-focused episode next week!
Favorite scene this week would have to be this:

Man, if KLK keeps having filler this good, I'll want filler all day every day.
That episode was godlike.

When they are sailing with the armoured car in slow motion with Blue Danube.
It was glorious.
This episode has some really fitting music to it. It made everything so much funnier.

some people are just bored.Spoiler:
[color=#006FFF]Bored or not that's actually a pretty damn awesome find--especially if it's an intended homage to GunBuster (one of my favorite mechs). Maybe that's why I immediately loved her shoulder "spikes", lol. Subliminally gar character designing ; guess it wouldn't be a first from Trigger.
Speaking of, I don't know if it's intentional but the teacher, Mikisugi, really reminds me of Coach from GunBuster when he's not in his bishi form. I know it's just the shades but still.

It seems like the guys who are doing this are on the same drug or combination of drugs that led to FLCL, and that's.... that's just fine

So, I've decided to watch this finally and it's definitely worth it.
Whether it's the free-wheeling animation, the frenetic pacing, the atmospheric world-building, or the intense energy that drives this series, everything about Kill la Kill is pushed to the absolute edge (even the fanservice!) But it all boils down to one all-encompassing, all-describing, all-too-appropriate word: fun. This series is a LOT of fun to watch, and by the time you pick your jaw up off the floor, you're smacked in the face again --- one, two, three times! and another wave of awesome, high-octane action knocks you out of the ring. I just can't get enough of it!
What's old is new again, and the spirit of classics like Project A-ko, Cutie Honey, Sukeban Deka, Otokojuku and other series of the Showa era are brought back to life in a modern work that borrows the best of the old-age sensibilities and cranks them up to eleven with the technical skill and finesse of a new era ready to deliver the goods!
Kill la Kill comes with my highest recommendation. Go watch it!

After something depressing and morbid like Attack on Titan wowed us all, I think it's nice that something like Kill La Kill comes along to remind us that violence can still be fun and that fanservice can be really awesome if it's done right. So far: 4/5
