[Anime] Kill la Kill

God this show just keepa getting more and more insane, and I am loving every minute of it

It's actually a pretty common trope in shonen series from which I think this draws a lot of its inspiration. It makes for an easy "lone wolf" protagonist while also adding some mystery to their background and upbringing.

The more I watch this series, the more I think it is kind of like a poor man's Star Driver. Sanageyama's eye mask sure isn't helping in that regard.

I wonder if Ryuko will learn some new technique or have a little "evolution" with each battle leading up to Satsuki in the same way she did against Gamagoori. Not sure if that'd be cool or lame though.. lol.

Ok, so my friend Aaron really likes this show and wants me to watch it too, but is it worth the watch? i would like to hear some opinions

The anime pretty much has the action cranked up to 11 throughout the entire thing. Even when it slows down it doesn't stay slow for long. Also a bit of fanservice for you to enjoy.

Watch it.

The over-the-top presentation, action, comedy can be fun to look at for some people. Sometimes getting to the point where you can't take it seriously anymore, some calling this anime a 'parody'. The fanservice is RAMPANT if you're into that sort of thing.

Personally, it's my least favorite anime this season, because I find the characters rather bland even with a back story nothing really makes them stand out, the humor can come of hamfisted and crass which makes it hit and miss with me, some call the fanservice fitting with the over-the-top presentation, I find it distracting and overdone. Some people criticize the art style to be lackluster, but I chalk that up to the throwback style that it's trying to present.

The things I do like about the series is the fights are fun to look at, the humor makes me chuckle at times, and I want to see where the plot is going because with the team that's working on it, I'm sure they can pull off something none of us would expect, they just haven't done it yet as far as I see. My opinion is rather negative, but this anime has a mass following, so watch it yourself so you can form a solid opinion of your own.

[color=#006FFF]Jakuzure is probably the most surprising character for me in the series just because I figured I wouldn't like her very much at first. Figured she was there just to be the loli of the group but she ended up being a confident badass a la Guame from TTGL. Can't wait to see the finale of her and Ryuko's battle.
