Weird ending. Every single character did the exact opposite of what they've been doing during the whole show (even the taxi driver didn't sing, OH NOES).
But Cummings becoming a monk... hehe, epic. :D

Very weird ending indeed, didn't really feel like an episode at all. Though i think this might be a prequel for a sequal? They left the story in shambles, with no real clue where it really went, a lot of the story was left untied.

Im glad Maria didn't die =), though i feel that she still has some sort of purpose she should've fulfilled. Gotta admit though that Alphard was pretty cool Hermit, she was the most pristine and exciting character in the series.

The bits of plot that weren't explored made me feel like there should be a sequel, but the fact that half of the characters in the opening were dead/presumed dead, or otherwise disposed of, it made me feel like there shouldn't be a sequel. I am torn with my feelings over the end of this.

I thought this ending was horrid. The buildup to this point (last episode specifically) was exciting, and I expected more out of this one. However, I was rudely awakened to reality when:


Overall, thinking back on this series, I'd say it was pretty good. I expected more out of it, but it's definetely much better than average. I enjoyed this anime a lot, and it's definetely within the top three of my anime list this season (Bakemonogatari being first).

I'm still undecided if I should keep on my nonsensical posting manner or be all-out serious for this probably would be the last time anyway. Lol, I'm sooo mad (as in crazy) that I couldn't even do as much as to read what's on my own fuckin mind.

I believe you guys should at least know that I really liked how it ended. I'm not into such extravagant endings and is more of an epilogue seeker thus it was fairly satisfying to me. What can I say, even after messing around by so much I was still blessed to be able to see it through just along the tracks of my factual gatherings and logical take. Nonetheless, I came in prepared for the worse as I tend to cling onto my ridiculously ideal wishes to prevail, more often towards a series such as this.

PS: I'm likely inclined to seriously mess with some of you guys' posts later. I haven't exactly read everything that's posted above mine in avoiding anything that could influence my preliminary evaluation of the series' ending. In any case, I made sure to save every single word which you guys wrote down so it's damn too late now to do some editing. :razz:

Pretty awesome way to cut all ties with the past; you did so well with the utmost literality(precision). Even with less than one arm, you're still the best, badass (chick) motherfucker in this series (and one of my priced waifus).

Maria, from the last couple of episodes, your character buildup was far the most promising. You were truly consistent and you showed a great deal of maturity; something that is very admirable. Also growing out of your ridiculously exaggerated "sugoi, sugoi" remarks made it easier for me to take you quite a bit more seriously. If there's just one thing that went illogically unexplained (not your fault either way), how the fuck could you haven't gone kablooey!? And just for the record, you remain to be in the boundary; It's not that I don't like you sort of thing/sentiment.

Liang Qi, my beloved. My love for you transcends all boundaries of sanity and insanity alike. Just wait for me at the gates of hell. I'll come pick you up as soon as I've signed all the necessary paperwork.

One of the better subtle, actual endings I've seen for considerably such an action-themed series. The whole story sure stayed loyal to the titular name and I see absolutely nothing wrong with how every detail was put together and was played out. The only drawback was of the finale's anti-climatic first half but not that I didn't see it coming thus it was rather difficult for me to be upset about it.

Well, now that I think of it, to put-off watching the TV series (until after the movies) would have been the much better choice. Regardless, I still plan on seeing those to see if there's gonna be much of a pure(rawer) version compared to that of the TV's episode-condensing resulting to such harmful pacing and cuts. Plus I'd definitely get to see mai very lovely waifu alive again! (even if it's just a re-play of sorts) :D

PS: So after typing this post, I finally decided to read each and everyone's comments with sentiments concerning the series' conclusion. With quite a lot of difference in views, I do feel like imposing on some but... not now.
