The phrase "what's wrong with me?" was merely because I've never before wished so strong to see a certain anime character in certain clothing/action. Maybe I should have rephrased it to "now I can really count myself as otaku." It was never meant in a way that I want to see Canaan there despite my detest towards her.


I'll take your word, but it's just my nature to take any statement as the authors actual state of mind/opinion. One part is also that in my mother language the word DETEST pretty much equals to HATE. Count in my obvious lacks in english and you get one nice misjudgement there, don't you? :)

I just can't get to understand her. I probably went a little overboard with that statement (probably because of her appearance in ep 9, right after which I was writing the post you quoted). My problem is in the fact that I really can't stand people with certain characteristics in RL and if I see someome with the same characteristics in anime or any kind of fictional story (Sakura in F/SN Heaven's Feel route is the same case for example), it really pumps up my ragebar.

All of those names above have gotten some proper explanations of their life stories (orphan with army training and her sensei killed right in front of her, woman with very nice voice which she can't use to express herself, a girl whose fate was to die young and saw her whole family dead as a child) and I didn't see such for Liang Qi. Oh and Alphard, I still don't know her story, apart from her killing Sham, but she at least acts the way I can comprehend.


If I had to be her sibling I would probably also treat her the way Alphard does, since, as I wrote above, I'm raging everytime I see someone with Lian Qi's characteristics. She should behave as a proper psycho and try to kill her sister, or stop clinging to her so much.


It might display anything, but it's still getting old. It was obvious even to me that it wasn't meant as comedial act and Cummings love has been properly displayed, if not by anything else before (and I need to say it was) than ep 9 is proof (the helicopter airsoft guns fight - this time airsoft guns were awesome once again :) )
I must agree with Liang Qi's seyuu being amazing, she's making her a real freak psycho character.


This was never meant as bad mouthing or displaying killing intent. I just want her to already disappear from my sight (my reasons are above). Furthermore, given my impression of her, I can really see her commiting suicide, probably in form of some suicide attack (I was actually hoping she will try to crash her and Alphard's helicopter, but I was probably asking too much).


Then we are on the same boat. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I really see Alphard as evil character and yet I've never said I hate her, right?


That's my case too, I really like her since I can really relate to everything she does, as I said before, she's just got the personality and behavior patterns which really attract me to such person.


Mind to explain the last sentence? Just another case of my bad english (Now THIS is getting old, isn't it? :razz: ). Oh and she resembles her personality - calm unless she really cares about someone, introverted and speaking only if she has something to say.
And just to let you dig into my personal tastes, her appearance pretty much fits to my image of "perfect looks". Mix it with that personality, make her real and I'm lost forever.

Yeah it surely had some significance, but I just get the feeling that Canaan X Yunyun friendship will be even more important in the end. With that said, I must also admit that I'm usually wrong with my "feeling" for those things... well, whatever.


The fact Canaan knows about Ua Virus is obvious, but I'm sure she would have cared much less about the dead village and that whole trip to there if Maria weren't there. Yes, she obviously wants to kill Alphard but I'm still giving more credits in this case to Maria.

No matter how realistic a character may seem in any series, there's still a gap (thanks to a number of factors) that separates my view point of any fictional character from any real human being.

Lets put it this way. If ever there is an authentic Liang Qi who exists in this very realm somewhere, it doesn't mean that I'd immediately fall for her nor like her even; and the same goes for Canaan.


Make sure to prepare a couple of good prosecutors for me too. :razz: I'm just to busy to do it myself. :lol:


As much as I can understand the applicability of the term you used against her and feel your personal sentiments against her whole being, I SWORE THE OATH OF LOVE upon marrying her and thus I SHALL ALWAYS STAND BY HER SIDE, UNTIL MY VERY LAST BREATH! Does that make her a little less human? A different specie maybe? You must be aware that not everyone has a story to tell, may it be of a horrible past/experience or a fairy-tale-like-wonderland of sort. Also, how should Liang's past be relevant to the entire plot if ever shown? That's one important factor in itself, and we'd soon be getting down to the bottom of things so if deemed necessary, we can at least expect to learn the reason as to why she LOVES her sister way tooO fuckin much. Is she to be considered a "yandere", I wonder..?

I believe to have already explained well enough Liang's side in my previous post but perhaps I forgot to include the most important fact. Everything she's done from the very beginning, it was all because Canaan exists! It's Canaan's fault that Liang acted the way she did all through out the series thus far. She's goddamn jealous of her!

Don't you underestimate the POWER of LOVE! Its destructive force exceeds all limit. For a minute, put yourself in her position.. Imagine your gf being so cold to you and then there is this guy whom she's getting so friendly with, or something along those lines. (do your own visualization)


As for the getting old part, it's already old by now. There should be no more getting older than what's already old is there? :razz: Also, if my memory serves me right, I've already expressed my thoughts on that since episode 3. I do agree in fact and seeing how they were used, again (albeit differently and quite seriously at that) in the 9th episode, I couldn't agree more; It was nerve-wracking-ly awesome on my part.

So there was supposedly no "killing intent" on your previous statement but this somewhat tells me otherwise. To even suggest something such as a suicidal act, that should prove enough of your killing intent; you obviously want her dead.

Not quite. You see, Canaan was already physically shaken up twice by Alphard in episodes 4 & 9. I enjoyed those parts very much, similarly as to when Liang beat the crap out of Maria in episode 6. However, yours were merely but suggestions as Liang has never taken any damage (wound, bruise, etc) upon her body. Mentally and emotionally however, she's taken in quite plenty and thus you hated her even more. I just don't think we're on equal grounds yet.

It doesn’t make her less human, but since I don’t know her background, I can’t approve of her character, actions, anything. It might have been different (at least in my case) if she were to get proper background story.
Not to mention that she’s rather important character, I can’t deny this (at least since episode 10, considering the results of her actions). And her character has considerable amount of influence to the story, so I guess her past would be relevant to the entire plot.
She’s yandere with a blackflip twist remodeled 2.1 version psycho style. :wink:

It sure isn’t pleasant thought, but since I’m so much different from Liang Qi on fundamental level, I’m pretty much sure I wouldn’t act like her. I’m extremely calm and non-conflict person so I would probably just say something like “well, whatever, do what you want, but don’t make a fool of me.” (Believe it or not, this attitude pisses off a lot of people around me.)



Take Maria with her, I couldn’t care less! She made me facepalm once again in episode 10, I’ve felt dumber just from seeing her convincing Yunyun.

Oh well, I get your point, just one correction: My hate towards her isn’t increasing because she takes more and more damage. It results from her reactions to this damage. Take Canaan – she got seriously her ass owned by Alphard in ep 9 but doesn’t bitch about rage, love, facekicking Alphard or any other form of revenge or feeling. And now take Liang Qi, who got her helicopter shot and her almost whole appearance in the following episode was about love, Canaan, nee-san and this crap.


Well I’m not really concerned too, I just happen to remember a lot of useless informations, and this was one of them.


HA! The part I admitted might be wrong and I might have had the right feeling. My prediction of actions after ep 10: Natsume will try to shoot Maria, Yunyun saves her by getting the bullet (since she thinks she’s dead anyways), Canaan comes to them and goes into revenge mode, thus my feeling will be right. *crossing fingers and praying* :lol:

Looks like you were wrong. Liang Qi pissed me off once again with this one (not to mention… how the fuck did she get him to that chair?!). I hope that Hakko will beat her sooo much. It would be really nice to see Liang writhing in pain and screaming NEE-SAAAAAAAN, BLEH. DEAD.

You know, it's just that time of year where I'm bored 14 days in a row. Nothing serious, just my bad mindset resulting in everything getting sooo boring.

Maria made me facepalm once again (when she was convincing Yunyun to get inside).
Yunyun seems pretty much depressed and I'm afraid she will make some stupid sacrifice act soon (probably to save Maria in that garden?) - I still hope this won't happen, I somehow pity her character and hope she gets out of this alive.
Liang Qi RAGE ON MAX once again, she should have killed Santana herself and not let Hakko do what she's done. I'm seriously hoping that Hakko will literally talk Liang Qi to death.
I also wonder what is that Canaan-like character in that ice supposed to be? Her twin? Clone? I suppose we all can agree that it cannot be the genuine Canaan since Hakko calmed down... (but I can see hermit hoping for it and hoping she never gets out :mad: )

I hope she dies a miserable death for tricking Hakko into that. Preferably, this death will be carried out by Hakko/Alphard.

Alright, so...we find out who those weird dudes in the animal heads were at the beginning of the series: The Unblooms. The people that couldn't handle the UA virus. The rejects. Man...that must have really torn up Hakko inside. I mean, realizing that you could have ended up just like some of your neighbors, your friends, your family, but didn't, and are left alone to accept the reality? I definitely wouldn't have made it through that.

And, on that note, even though I enjoy the rest of the cast, these last two episodes have all been about Hakko and Santana. I mean, Santana has been living with the regret of first spreading the virus, and then keeping that information hidden from the public eye just so that he could take Hakko away. That must have been eating away at him for a long time. However, he met an untimely demise. That scene...god...one of the most tragic yet beautiful death sequences I've ever laid eyes upon. Santana on his last leg, and him just begging to Hakko for her to tell him that he loved her, even though that put the last nail in his coffin. And her dragging him around, saying I love you over and over? God...exceptional series is exceptional.

So yeah...Li Quang is a totally crazy bitch, but I'm glad that Alphard is letting her live. She definitely keeps things interesting.

And the end of episode 10 was also quite shocking, with the revelation of the real reason why the UA virus was administered: In order to make another Canaan. And those...I guess you can call them clones...under the ice? Totally reminded me of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Wonderful. I can't fucking wait to see how this ends up.

Santana was the biggest letdown this week. After building an image of a tough and determined guy in the past episodes, he came up dying without accomplishing anything. Not to mention the disturbing fact that he was clearly getting an orgasm out of Hakko melting his brain and ended up delivering a fuckload of suffering and mindfuck to the one he cared about the most. Great idea to make the woman you love finish you up with the power that already ruined much of her past life ...

The so-called revelation about the facility being used to reproduce Canaan's abilities wasn't really that surprising btw and made mi think something about "ain't worth the effort" lines

Santana didnot deserve to die like that :(

I think Hakko should die as well so they can be together :)
