A little jest here, but the real cliffhanger for High School of the Dead is whenever the author and artist decide to go on a hiatus, leaving fans uncertain on when the next chapter will be released... if at all. :D

Some people may have complained about the anime title having more fanservice as compared to the manga. Indeed, anime counterparts tend to include additional scenes (just as long as they are not full-blown filler arcs) to keep viewers interested. The same can be said of the tv version and DVDs/Blu-rays released. The uncensoring and additional material may tempt fans to purchase goods.

Oops, made a big mistake over there, I didn't really to call it a cliffhanger (I was a little sleepy), I meant to say was that the ending wasn't a little satisfying.

I just watched the last episode. And they squeezed everything they could from the plot part in Takagi's estate, and it turned out nice.
But it's kinda long for a wait for a second season - September 5, 2011? Cool. As long as they release one or two OVAs in between, it'll be worth the wait.
The first season overall was great. Hope the second season does better.

There was an OVA that came out awhile ago if anyone missed it. "Drifters of the Dead," it was basically just loooooots of yummy fanservice. Have there been any more OVAs?
