It depends, actually. I did vote for sub anime. However, if I already seen a dub anime, then that's what I am going to stick with. But, if it is a brand new anime, then I will look at it sub. <shrugs> Sounds weird, I know, but that's me.

I've always prefered subbed anime, due to voices sounding much more natural...
However not all dubs are bad, my favourite dubbeing Fullmetal Alchemist which is probably the best dub i've seen so far.
Also i enjoy downloading dual audio anime, so i can see which i prefer and stick to that for that series. Subbed usually wins out though, and sequels are always subbed so it makes it nice when one does come out :)

Voted for Subbed.
Reason: I like authenticity. I feel there's always something lost in the process of translation - it's something you can't do anything about most of the time. Each language has it's very own characteristics which simply cannot be transferred to another one - especially so with English and Japanese.

I want topic image to be related.
Clothed Saber or Naked Saber?
Naked Saber of course.
I gotta say though, Maison Ikkoku's dub traumatized me. I'm not joking.

In most animes the English voices just don't match up with the characters they're voicing,
I've only seen Naruto from 1 - 60 in English dub then I found out that there were Japanese voiced ones out that were already at Shippuuden, so from there on it was; Sub for the freaking win.

In 9.999 cases out of 10 i prefer subbed anime because most dubs sound horrible, in most dubs it feels like the voice actors aren't even trying to make it sound good but it feels like japanese voice actors are really trying, i think that the Trigun dub is as good as the subbed version if not better.

Dubbed for me, simply cause I'd rather pay attention to the action on screen, while beind able to understand easily.
There are definitely anime's out there that I prefer to watch in subs, but if a dub is available, I'll watch it with dubs.

Subbed all the way people. All the way. At least they dont make a 20 year old char sound like he/she just got a carrot stuck up his/her ass.

subs for the win
FMA, Baccano!, and Samurai Champloo had great dubs though
the only thing which would be better is if japanese voice actors could speak english
like Baccano!, for example, the dub is alright but if the Japanese VA could speak english the characters would be portrayed perfectly

The ONLY good dubbed anime out there SO FAR is Cowboy Bebop, Black Lagoon, Eureka 7, Full Metal Alch, and a couple others I can't think of right now.
Oh yea! NARUTO! (J-fucking-K)

I personally prefer subs because in the many anime i've watched, dubs tend to be horrendous. Its like listening to microsoft sam sometimes.

While i prefer subbed one series that stands out where the dubbed was better then the subs is Neon Genesis Evangelion even the original voice actors agreed.

On average id say that I prefer Subs 95% of the time over Dubs.
The only time I like Dubs better than Subs is when ive watched it Dubbed before I did in Sub. It also helps if the Dub is done particularly well and not in a dumb Californian Brofist style of voice.
TMO Haruhi Suzumiya is one Dub I prefer over Sub... Cant think of many more off the top of my head though!
An example of a Dub gone wrong = Hajime No Ippo!

Generally subs. Notable exceptions include NGE, Elfen Lied, and FLCL.
I agree!

I mostly Prefer subs, but some dubs like FMA and E7 as well was Gundam Wing and Gundam 00 have gone over well in english. others.... Like Code Geass... Had TERRIBLE casting for their dubs (ie Johnny as Lelouch, WTF?!) and then others were doomed to failure once the company changed the VAs (Pokemon, thanks SO MUCH 4Kids... friggen savages)

Dubbed.
I want all of my attention focused on the animation, not the subtitles.
Plus, I really can't gauge the acting on subs. It's a language I don't understand, so how am I suppose to know if the acting is atrocious. Hell, I remember watching something subbed once and my friend (who is fluent in the Japanese language) came over for a second to watch and began laughing, telling me how bad the acting was.
I'm not going to catch what words they stress or emphasize, or even catch the subtleties. All I'm going to catch are the large obvious emotions. "Oh he's yelling. He must be mad. Oh he's crying, he must be sad."
So in summation.
