I can't remember the last time I've seen a(n English) dubbed series -- goes without saying I prefer the other.

I prefer subs all the way personally. They're replacing the original cast of actors with an entirely different one. Also extra words are put in or taken out to try to "sync" with the video.

I will have to say dubbed mainly because i found anime thanx to adult swim and i got used to dubbed anime first than i found out about subbed although i dont really mind watching both of them.

Here's how it is for me; I only like it when it's good, and I'm a quick reader and good at analyzing voice tones, so there's no problems understanding what's going on for me.
There are only a few dubs that've come out that don't make me want to kill the writer; heres the list.
Outlaw Star, Samurai Champloo, and Cowboy bebop were amazing in English.
Inuyasha, FMA, DBZ, and bleach were all right, (bleach being better at first then became worse as it dragged on, but I also have to consider the fact that the subbed anime was the same, starting out well and fading into filler-y bullcrap.
Other then that, most(if not all) dubbed anime are pure suck, with exceptions being any potentially good dubs that I simply haven't seen yet. Want an example? try watching the entire first season of yu gi oh without cringing or making an awkward face in disgust at least once(not that that was probably good in sub version either, it probably sucks in both, so why would you bother dubbing it?)
With dubs, I greatly prefer watching Outlaw star, samurai champloo, and cowboy bebop in english, only because those are especially amazing. the "all right ones" i can watch either way equally, and all others seem to only be good IN sub version.
Still, I might have forgotten/not seen alot of good dubs, so I'd say its close to even, with subs barely winning.

I'd have to say Subbed...but Dubbed is really close since a majority of the dubbed animes I have seen are really good (Witch Hunter Robin, Gundam Seed, Seed Destiny, Fate/Stay Night, FLCL, Black Lagoon, Hellsing just to name a few). However I normally watch subbed animes...mainly cause I have no money...shut up...bite me >.> .
I will watch a dubbed anime over a subbed anime if I have the chance...(I really want to see the Tsukihime anime) but because of the aforementioned being broke...yeah

The only anime that I actually preferred in English was Golden Boy. The guy who voiced him actually seemed to understand what anime is about.
To be honest I have a feeling with dub that they people who are voicing the characters don't have even the faintest idea what their character is alike.
Some of the worst dubs I've seen where a monotone voice when the character is clearly shouting his lungs out.
Seriously though, Golden boy was awesome in dub. I also like Gundam Wing as well in it's dub version, I found it less annoying than most dubbed anime's.
EDIT: Read some previous posts and I have to agree that Outlaw Star, Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop were greatly adapted into their Dub versions.

Subbed coz people do not give a damn if there is handicapped people or not.
Myself are deaf, so, anime somehow are one of the bestest discoveries I ever made.
Hearing people put subs on anime coz it affects their experience. XD or whatever.
