Dark Souls

Im in a love hate with this game. I play it and rock enemies and then get destroyed by some enemies and bosses and want to snap my controller. its amazingly addicting though because through it all I just want to get the game done and try to beat it unlike what I did with Demons's Souls and give up right away.
Also.
Im not sure how but Some player invaded my game and tried to attack me. needless to say he wasnt that good because I destroyed him and took his humanity and 5000 souls. he was to quick to the trigger and i kept my shield up, parried and slashed away. and on top of that I had enemies to kill.

Fighting gywn now... Honestly, This is more of a duel than a fight.

I have been dying countless times... I saw that knight before that bull demon and couldn't resist trying to fight him. I did manage to snag that ring before dying though

It scared me. He was all red outlined in black. I think the name was Knight Kirk or something. either way I smashed him to bits then later lost all my souls from a dragon boss.

EDIT: Did my reasearch and found it was an NPC named "Darkstalker Keathe" He appears randomly and attacks you or you can find him and buy the item to do this to other players.

Is it true that you can get a helm from that armored boar?
If so, how exactly?

It could be a random drop.
I killed him from critical hits so wouldnt know.

I wasn't sure if I sould try to pick at him in a certain way or just stick my dick sword in his butt.

Assistance needed! How does one create a lightning longsword, what materials are needed? I have a longsword +10 ready

I'm thinking whether I should keep trying the catacombs, or try the valley of drakes.

I can't kill the Kellkite dragon yet, or fight the butter fly boss, and I can't get to the area down in New Londo Ruins cause touch the ghosts.

This is the 1st time in this game I understand the annoyance of keep getting killed.

For the boar helmet I just gave him all weak attacks I didn't do a back stab up his butt and he dropped it.

I think for some drops you might not get it if you are over powered because My fight with the gargoyles was way too easy and the second gargoyle spawned with less than a cm worth of health one arrow would of killed him his tail was missing from the start of the fight as well. I think it may of glitched because I had done too much damage to the 1st gargoyle or some thing like that.

Easiest way to kill the butterfly.

If you have pyromancy use that as its very effective and just dodge roll when its attacking. as soon as it lands just wail on it with all you got.
You dont even need the shield.

If you go under the bridge where the Kellkite is, shoot its tail with arrows, after awhile it will die and drop the drakes sword.

To attack the ghosts you need the item 'Transient Curse'. use it to temporarly attack ghosts.

EDIT: I actually ended up glitch killing the kellkite from running up the stairs, getting it to burn the skellys running down and respawning them, farmed them good till the dragon was by the stairs ran back down to respawn and next thing i knew I got a tons of souls and the dragon never came back.

The Hellkite regrew his tail would I get an other sword if I shoot it off again?

I think he is healing faster than I can kill him.

So far I prefer the titanite catch pole to the drake sword it does magic damage as well and it's damage goes up with my stats.

Both are rare drops so its not a guarantee you will get it, but its a possibility.

I didnt get either so im SOL for that. im doing good with my ushiganta though.

So far the Titanite catch pole does a total of 292 damage and it keeps going up with my stats.

I think I might be able to make it through the valley of drakes now cause I now have the catch pole but I am not too sure of what is in there. I think if I get through here I might be able to buy some pyromancy spells for the other boss.

I read some where for the ghosts there is a special sword that can hurt them but I have know idea how hard it might be to get.

Sounds intense.

I got a ghost blade from killing some ghosts that has an attribute to attack ghosts.

Im actually finding Dark Souls to be easier then Demon Souls was. Not sure why, maybe just that im used to the gameplay? Anyhow, Im on NG+ now, loved using my +5 Lighting Iaito. I always prefer speed, technique and dodging over stability, armor and strength. Also, Final Boss was better than demon souls, but those endings sucked.

Butterfly went down in 3 hits. So far a sorcerer class character is at a disadvantage when fighting Carpa Demon only, everything else just falls down instantly. With Carpa i really had to go out of my way and gear up with heaviest armor possible and just tank him.

P.S. My first and extremely painful encounter with a mimic left a huge scar in my mind. Whenever i see another one i just can't help it but get scared and poke every single chest that i come by......and not just in Dark Souls -_-

How am I meant to hit the butterfly with melee if I can't get close?

I found this weird area in the Fire link shrine up high in the ruins and there is a birds nest you can curl up in I wonder if it's for any thing.
