I'm currenly going straight trough the story so I can put off the hardcore mode and do some random things in the wasteland without worrying about dehydration and food.
so far I've reached 'The house always wins III'.

Playing it on "Hardcore" right now. damned dehydration. deffinitly makes it more challenging=3= Hardcore is way lame
Sounds like someone's been playing on Casual mode.
No, it's sounds like someone that plays on hardcore but dun feel it's hard enough, so he download mods to make the game more realistic and harder to fight.
Haven't tried playing on casual since I thought that hardcore was more like I wanted it to be with the dehydration and shit (I guess they finally picked that up from the mods of FO3), but it's still lame. The nights are too bright, the guns work too well even when they're in bad shape, it's almost impossible to die even in fights with several enemies, even if you don't use vats... Way too unbalanced.

Oh sexbot, telling me to assume position. An interesting rule 34 of fallout; if by some miracle a fallout doujin is made, sexbot needs to be there.
Also, did anyone just feel wrong after being in vault 11? Killing a pack of deathclaws cheered me right up.

I ended up killing Mr. House because I like the Brotherhood of steel more, I also wiped out Caesars legion, the Powder Gangers, and the Great Khans

So, you have a choice between BOS and Mr. House, eh? I'm not much of a gambler, so house will have to go.

I recommend picking up this game. They took a lot of ideas from the Fallout 3 modding community and their own think-tanks to finely-polish an already polished game. A vast amount of locations, quests, lore and new weapons are available to bring that much needed diversity that Fallout 3 was lacking. All in all, it's just a harder, more complex version of Fallout 3, can you really ask for much more?
