people might just start buying stuff from their fav artists and not subscribe. If that happens then newcomers have no chance of getting noticed because people are only reading what it's already their long time faves.

If I remember correctly someone once mentioned on the forums that the ability to make reviews of chapters or books was in the works, I think maybe reviews would be more useful than ratings. Maybe the reviews could be rated by the users a bit like animelist

I have looked through the main page for manga recently and every link I have managed to click on is either a book I have to buy or something I have to subscribe to view it. I have clicked on at least 2-3 from each suggested list and every time it said I had to either subscribe or buy it.Is there anything on this site that is free anymore? Cause I cannot find anything.
There're still some free stuff under the Western tag. Including the first 2 chapters of my story "Amague!" and at least one work from the artist "gy"

That's what I suggested once, something similar to what Mangareader uses: the ability to place a comment on the page. Obviously it should need to turn the thing on for the comments to show up.
at first I thought this would be something like the "tsukomi" from mangareader, but it's on a whole new level! hahahahaha
